Overnight Egg Casserole with Salami, Bread and Wine

T butter

c Havarti Cheese

c Swiss Cheese

eggs

c milk

dry white wine

green onions,

Dijon mustard

Salt and Pepper to taste

Butter a 9 x 13 baking dish. Tear bread into small pieces and scatter over bottom. Drizzle butter on top.

Beat together eggs, milk, wine, onions, mustard and salt and pepper. Pour over cheese and salami. Make sure bread is covered and weight it if necessary. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Remove dish from fridge about 1/2 hour before baking. Preheat oven to 350. Bake covered about 35 minutes. At this point eggs should be just about cooked. If not, leave in oven a bit longer.

Uncover and spread with sour cream. Sprinkle Parmesan on top of that. Bake 10 more minutes until crusty and lightly browned. Let sit a few minutes before serving.

Overnight Breakfast Casserole

tube (16.3 oz.) Pillsbury Grands, Southern Homestyle Biscuits, Buttermilk

(32 oz.) bag frozen tater tots

green bell peppers

cheddar cheese

bacon, fully

green onion

half and half

garlic powder

tsp table salt

tsp black pepper

Using a sharp knife, cut each biscuit into quarters. Set aside.

Place tater tots on the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish.

Top tots with cooked sausage, bell peppers, biscuit chunks, cheese, bacon and green onion.

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, half and half and seasonings. Pour egg mixture evenly over the casserole.

Cover casserole tightly with saran wrap and refrigerate at least 8 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 350 °F

While is oven is preheating, remove the chilled casserole from the refrigerator so it is not so cold going into the oven.

Bake casserole for 50-55 minutes or until eggs are cooked through, especially in the middle of the casserole. Remove from oven and let rest 10 minutes before serving.

Breakfast Casserole Recipe with Sausage and Spinach

Preheat oven

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray a 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.

Brown sausage

Brown sausage in a large frying pan over medium heat, breaking up clumps as it browns. Transfer cooked sausage to a paper-towel lined plate to drain fat. Spread sausage on the bottom of the baking dish.

Wilt spinach

Wilt spinach in the same pan over medium heat, covered, tossing occasionally, for a couple of minutes. Arrange spinach over the sausage layer. Sprinkle on 1 cup of cheese. Add the bread cubes in an even layer.

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper and dry mustard powder. Pour egg mixture evenly over bread. Press bread down a little, if needed, so that all of it is soaked with the egg mixture. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup cheese over the top. At this point the egg casserole can be be covered and refrigerated for up to 24 hours (see note).

Bake

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until set. To check for doneness, insert a table knife in the center of the casserole. It should come out clean. Remove from oven and let stand for at least five minutes before serving.
