The video shows to put mozzarella on top of the sauce on the noodle before you roll them but the recipe doesn’t indicate that.  They were very tasty but I’ll add the extra mozzarella next time before rolling.

Shrimp Scampi Roll-Ups Will Make You See Lasagna Noodles in a Whole New Light!

Recipe video above. This is a &quot;formula&quot; using a creamy white sauce to make a pasta bake using anything you&#x27;ve got. Add in literally any meat, raw or cooked, any vegetable (frozen, canned, dried, fresh, pickled). Canned tuna or salmon, bacon, ham, chorizo. You&#x27;re only limited by your imagination! (Eer - and what&#x27;s in your pantry 😂) If using raw meat and veg that needs to be cooked, cook them first then make the sauce in the same pot. If using add ins like canned salmon and corn that do not need pre cooking, just make the sauce and mix it up with the pasta, then bake until bubbly and golden! See above in post for combination suggestions.

Creamy Pasta Bake "formula" - make this with ANYTHING!

/ 1lb pasta ((any short

tbsp salt ((for water))

tbsp (60 grams) butter (, unsalted)

garlic

tbsp flour (, any (GF option Note 2))

(1.25 litres) milk (, any fat, any type)

chicken

(75 grams) parmesan

tsp black pepper

tsp EACH thyme and parsley (,

tsp EACH mustard, garlic, onion powder

olive oil

Salt and pepper

(200 grams) cheese (, shredded (Note 4))

Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F.

Pasta - Boil water with 1 tbsp salt. Add pasta, bring back up to boil then cook per packet directions MINUS 2 minutes. Should be just cooked, still slightly firm in middle. Drain, return to pot.

Heat half butter &amp; 1 tbsp oil in a large pot over high heat. Stir in garlic for 10 seconds, then cook your raw meat and vegetables with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Meat must be fully cooked - will not cook further in oven.

Add remaining butter, melt. Mix in flour, then follow Creamy Sauce step 2 onwards.

Cooking RAW Meat &amp; Vegetables

Start here if you have NO COOK Add Ins (like canned tuna): Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat.  Add garlic and stir for 10 seconds, then stir in flour.

While mixing, gradually pour in about 1/3 of the milk. Once the flour-butter mixture is incorporated into the milk, pour in remaining milk and mix.

Add remaining milk, stock powder, parmesan, pepper and herbs (if using) and mix. When the milk starts to heat up, mix constantly to make sure the white sauce doesn’t catch on the base.

After 4 - 5 minutes, the sauce should be thick enough that you can draw a path across the back of a spoon (see video).

Creamy Sauce

Return cooked pasta into pot. Mix with sauce and no-cook Add Ins.

Spread in large casserole dish, top with cheese and bake 25 minutes until golden and bubbly. Serve!

Heat oven to 220C/fan 200C/gas 7. Put a <a href="https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/content/five-best-saucepans">pan</a> of water on to boil, then cook the lasagne sheets for about 5 mins until softened, but not cooked through. Rinse in cold water, then drizzle with a little oil to stop them sticking together.

Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large <a href="https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/content/top-five-non-stick-frying-pans">frying pan</a>, then fry the onion. After 3 mins, add the courgettes and garlic and continue to fry until the courgette has softened and turned bright green. Stir in 2/3 of both the ricotta and the cheddar, then season to taste. Heat the tomato sauce in the microwave for 2 mins on High until hot.

In a large baking dish, layer up the lasagne, starting with half the courgette mix, then pasta, then tomato sauce. Repeat, top with blobs of the remaining ricotta, then scatter with the rest of the cheddar. Bake on the top shelf for about 10 mins until the pasta is tender and the cheese is golden.

Sage Pumpkin Pasta Bake with Kale and Butter Pecans

Cook the fusilli in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and toss with a little olive oil.

While the pasta is cooking prepare the rest of the meal. Melt the butter in a small frying pan over medium-high heat and add the pecans. Toast until they are fragrant, about 5 minutes.

Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook till soft, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and kale and cook until the kale is wilted, about 2 minutes.

In a medium-sized bowl, mix the pumpkin, cottage cheese, sage, black pepper, and cayenne.

Spread a scoop of the pumpkin into the bottom of a casserole dish or ovenproof pot. Layer with 1/3 of the pasta, 1/3 of the pumpkin, 1/3 of the kale, and 1/3 of the mozzarella. Repeat 2 more times. Top the pasta with the buttered pecans and bake uncovered for 25 minutes, or until the pasta is hot and bubbling.

Tried this last night and I used half the pasta suggested and there was hardly enough of the pumpkin cheese mixture to spread. Also the cottage cheese didn’t melt so just random white cures everywhere. Very dry recipe with just half the pasta called for.  Pretty sad cause it’s not really tasty if the pasta isn’t in a creamy sauce like anticipated. Threw it out.

Delicious!! My husband and I couldn't stop eating it! I loved the contrast of the pecans to the creamy sauce and I thought the use of red onion was really unique. We are adding this to the fall dinner rotation!

Ahhhh mazing. So so good. For my hubby I thew in some sausage instead of the pecans. Instant favorite for all of us including our one year old baby girl; who said, and I quote, " mmmmmmm" and cleaned her plate. 

Definitely a keeper! We loved it. I did change it up a bit:

Subbed smoked paprika for cayenne, since we're not huge fans of spicy hot. 
Put the cottage cheese and pumpkin in the blender to make it nice and smooth. 
And then I reserved a bit of mozzarella and the nuts, threw everything in the pasta pot, mixed it up, topped it with the cheese and nuts and popped it in the oven.

I didn't see much point in layering the ingredients. It's not lasagna, and I really did want the sauce and all the goodies well-integrated with the pasta. Also, I was running out of time and it seemed simpler to just mix it all up.

I made this tonight and was disappointed. The whole thing turned out super dry - I think it would help if the sauce was thinned down with almond milk or another liquid in the blender. I even made more sauce than was specified due to previous reviews but it still wasn’t enough. Bummed to have a whole heap of pasta that’s not very tasty :(

Chorizo & Mozzarella Gnocchi Bake

onion, finely chopped

Chorizo & mozzarella gnocchi bake

Heat the oil in a medium <a href="https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/content/five-best-saucepans">pan</a> over a medium heat. Fry the onion and garlic for 8-10 mins until soft. Add the chorizo and fry for 5 mins more. Tip in the tomatoes and sugar, and season. Bring to a simmer, then add the gnocchi and cook for 8 mins, stirring often, until soft. Heat the grill to high.

Stir &frac34; of the mozzarella and most of the basil through the gnocchi. Divide the mixture between six ovenproof ramekins, or put in one baking dish. Top with the remaining mozzarella, then grill for 3 mins, or until the cheese is melted and golden. Season, scatter over the remaining basil and serve with green salad.

Healthy Taco Pasta 

dry pasta (I used brown rice fusilli)

white onion, diced.

red pepper, diced.

beef

can black beans,

can corn, drained and rinsed

taco seasoning

15 oz can diced tomatoes (fire-roasted preferred)

tomato sauce

cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350F and grease 9&#215;13 casserole dish.

Cook your pasta according to package. Drain accordingly. Set aside.

In a large pan or dutch oven over medium-high heat, add oil. Once hot, add onion and pepper. 

After a few minutes when onions and peppers begin to soften, add garlic.

One minute later, add ground beef. Cook until no longer pink, then drain everything in fine mesh strainer.

Add black beans, corn and taco seasoning. Stir to combine, then add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. 

Let simmer for 5 minutes over low heat, then stir in cooked pasta.

Pour into casserole dish and top with cheddar cheese. Bake in oven for 10 minutes at 350.

Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Pure comfort food, this Penne Pasta Bake has a meaty, creamy sauce and lots and lots of cheese. It is perfect for a busy night, and is perfect for feeding a crowd.

Penne Pasta Bake

oz penne pasta

½ lb ground beef

½ medium onion, chopped

(24-oz) jar marinara sauce

sour cream

oz sliced Provolone

oz shredded or sliced Mozzarella

Parmesan

chopped parsley

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente. Drain.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Add the onion and cook until softened. Add the spaghetti sauce and allow to simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in the sour cream. Add the drained pasta and stir to coat.

Preheat the oven to 350F. Spray a 2 quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Pour half of the pasta into the baking dish. Top with half of the Provolone and half of the Mozzarella. Pour the remaining pasta on top and top with the remaining Provolone and Mozzarella, and sprinkle the Parmesan on top.

Bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

I made this last night for 5 adults and everyone LOVED it! Plus there was plenty for leftovers!!!!!

Honestly this was pretty bland. I am a die hard pasta fan and I didn't find this to be savoury in any way. Maybe adding bell peppers and zucchini would make it taste more flavourful. Otherwise its just has a saturated meat taste.  Its a shame cause visually it looked delicious but ended up being meh. Won't be making again.
