Paula Deen&#39;s Ooey Gooey Butter Cake is a type of buttery pound cake with a creamy topping of powdered sugar and cream cheese. So delicious!!

Paula Deen's Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

yellow cake mix

eggs (room temperature)

vanilla extract

unsalted butter (melted)

full fat cream cheese (softened to room temperature)

confectioners sugar

cornstarch

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Spray a deep 9-inch round cake pan with baking spray and line the bottom with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk cake mix, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter until combined.

Press the cake mixture into the bottom of the pan, making it as flat as possible.

For the filling, in a large bowl beat cream cheese, milk, eggs, vanilla, salt and melted butter on medium speed until combined. Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl a few times.

Stir in the powdered sugar 1 cup at a time and also add the cornstarch.

Pour the cream cheese mixture on top of the cake mixture.

Bake for 40-45 minutes or until settled.

After that cool on a wire rack and serve.

Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain.

While the pasta is cooking, place the eggs in a small saucepan. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, cover and let stand for 12 minutes. Run under cold water to cool.

In a large bowl, whisk together the sour cream, mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, and 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Add the pasta and toss to coat.

Peel the eggs. Using the large holes on a box grater, grate one egg and 3 egg whites (discard the yolks). Fold the eggs into the pasta mixture along with the celery, bell pepper, pimiento, and scallions.
