Simple, traditional Red Spanish Sangria made with simple methods and just 6 ingredients. The perfect fruity summer beverage that's adaptable and delicious!

Easy Traditional Red Sangria

apple

orange

orange juice ((plus more to taste))

brandy ((plus more to taste))

750 ml bottle dry Spanish red wine*

Add apples, oranges, and sugar to a large pitcher and muddle with a muddler or wooden spoon for 45 seconds.

Add orange juice and brandy and muddle again to combine for 30 seconds.

Add red wine and stir to incorporate, then taste and adjust flavor as needed. I added a bit more brandy, orange juice and brown sugar. Stir to combine.

Add ice and stir once more to chill. Serve as is, or with a bit more ice. Garnish with orange segments (optional).

Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours, though best when fresh.

Best Red Sangria Recipe

red wine

brandy

apple (sliced)

oranges (one sliced and one juiced)

lemon (sliced)

maple syrup

water

Dice

Dice the apple, orange, and lemon into small pieces. Make sure to leave the peels on and toss them into the pitcher along with the orange juice.

Combine

Pour the wine, brandy and any sweetener into the pitcher. Then stir everything together until it&#039;s all combined. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight. The longer it sits, the more time the flavors can meld together.

Serve

Serve this in individual glasses over ice. Then top with sparkling water if you&#039;d like!

SANGRIA RECIPE | easy authentic red sangria

Meet the best sangria you’ll ever have! Made with fresh fruit, brandy and red wine, this classic red sangria recipe will hit the spot. It’s so easy to make! Recipe yields 1 pitcher; enough for six glasses.

Best Red Sangria

Ice,

To prepare the orange, slice it in half from the stem end downward. Squeeze the juice of one-half of the orange into a pitcher. Thinly slice the remaining orange half and place the slices into the pitcher.

Add the prepared seasonal fruit and lemon. Add the brandy and 1 tablespoon of the maple syrup. Pour the wine into the pitcher and stir to combine. Taste, and add another tablespoon of maple syrup if it’s not sweet enough for your liking.

You can serve this sangria immediately, or let it marinate for 2 to 8 hours for more fruity flavor. Serve in wine glasses with a few ice cubes to keep it chilled. Enjoy!

Very sorry, tried this recipe.  Was suspicious of putting lemon in it.  Made it and the lemon overpowered it for me.  Why do people consistently write things here e.g. “I am going to make this recipe etc”.  It is called a “Review” for a reason.

Yum! This is my go to for red wine sangria.  Follow it to the T and always delicious!  (A cup of frozen mixed berries and a cut up apple are always a good combo) and some Cointreau for the brandy.  Fruit left behind when the wine is gone?  Add another bottle of wine to the marinated fruit, pop in some more brandy, maple syrup and a squeeze of orange juice, and let it marinate again.  By the time that wine is gone you can eat the fruit with a spoon, it's so good!

I have made this twice with peaches &amp; nectarines &amp; it is delicious. First time used a fairly expensive Pinot noir because I had it on hand. Second time I used an inexpensive granache &amp; I like it even better. Thanks!

This Sangria Recipe is made with only 6 ingredients including diced apples, oranges and Spanish red wine and is the easiest red sangria ever!

Easy Sangria Recipe

apples,

lemon juice ((about 1 lemon, juiced))

orange juice

sparkling water, (to serve *optional*)

Place all the ingredients, except the sparkling water, in a large pitcher and stir to combine.&nbsp;

Refrigerate sangria for 3 to 4 hours, up to overnight, before serving.

When ready to serve, give the sangria one last stir and pour over a glass of ice. Top with sparkling water for some bubbles if desired.

Classic red Sangria is a delicious drink when made well and served chilled over ice.

Classic Spanish Red Sangria

dry red wine (note 1)

lemon (note 2)

lime

apple (note 3)

g brown sugar (note 4)

g cognac/ brandy

mint (optional)

With a vegetable peeler, peel the citrus reservingthe skin. Squeeze the juice from only the orange.

bruis citrus peel

Bruise the citrus peel by rolling between your fingers to release the oils and add into the spirits.

infuse spirit

add mint

Add mint and sugar to a jug along with the spirits. Muddle it like you would a mojito. Let it stand for 5 minutes.

cut apple

Chop up the apple and add into a jug. Followed by ice.

mix drink

Add the spirits, red wine, and orange juice together into the jug with the apples. Give it a stir and garnish with fresh mint and a few slices of citrus.

serve

Serve immediately by pouring into chilled glasses filled with ice, lemon, mint and some apple slices.
