Salmon Miso Poke Bowl

salmon,

soy sauce

red miso

sesame oil

rice wine vinegar

garlic,

ginger,

Sushi Rice

cucumbers

edamame

onions

avocados

Sesame seeds

Sriracha

Place the salmon and all of the marinade...

Place the salmon and all of the marinade ingredients into a plastic container or plastic baggie, and let it marinate for 1-2 hours.

Place a scoop of salmon poke on top...

Place a scoop of salmon poke on top of a scoop of sushi rice, and top with any of your desired toppings.

A combo of salmon and rice makes the yummiest treat for your dining table…

Instant Pot Salmon and Rice

water

salmon

tsp minced ginger

brown sugar

tsp sesame oil

jasmine rice (rinsed)

olive oil

tbsp rice vinegar

garlic powder

tsp parlsey

Add water and Jasmine rice to the Instant Pot.

Place a layer of salmon fillets on the Jasmine rice.

In a bowl, mix sesame oil and brown sugar.

Pour the mix you just made on top of each salmon fillet.

Close the lid and cook on high pressure for 4 minutes.

When cooking time ends, wait for a natural pressure release.

While you are waiting for pressure release, make the sauce by mixing all the ingredients together.

Open the lid, and place the rice and salmon on a plate.

Dress with the sauce and serve :]

Delicious Salmon Rice Bowls with a scrumptious miso ginger soy marinade/sauce that sings with umami-packed flavor! Add broccoli, pickled cucumbers, avocado, corn, fresh herbs and any other bowl-inspired toppings your heart desires. This recipe is perfect for meal prepping and makes for the coziest dinner situation for two!

Miso Ginger Soy Salmon Rice Bowls

white miso paste

worcestershire sauce

olive oil, divided

fish sauce

seasoned rice vinegar

sugar

ginger

lemon

lemon lemon

red pepper flakes- optional

lb fresh salmon, skin removed & cut into 1-inch cubes

rice

broccoli florets

Make the marinade/sauce

In a medium bowl or mason jar, combine the miso, worcestershire, 1 tbsp olive oil, sesame oil, fish sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, lemon zest + lemon juice, red pepper flakes (if using), and garlic. Whisk the mixture well to thoroughly combine.

Marinate the salmon

Place the cubed salmon into a bowl and cover the salmon using *half* of the marinade- just enough to coat the salmon. Cover the remaining sauce with plastic wrap or lid and set aside. Use your hands (fitted with disposable gloves, if desired) or a spatula to gently toss the cubed salmon in the marinade, ensuring all salmon is coated. Set the bowl aside to marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Sear the salmon

After the salmon has marinated, it&#8217;s ready to cook. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil into a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot and shimmering, working in batches, add the cubed salmon into the skillet- shaking off any excess marinade and discard. Let the salmon sear, undisturbed, until the pieces achieve a deep, golden sear, about 2 minutes. Then flip the salmon to continue searing on the other sides, about 1 minute or less- or until your desired level of doneness is achieved. Set cooked salmon aside onto a clean plate and repeat as needed.

Build the salmon rice bowls &amp; serve

Add the rice and broccoli into shallow bowls, then top with the seared salmon. Finish off bowls with pickled cucumbers or other pickled veggies, avocado, corn, fresh chopped herbs, and/or sesame seeds, if desired. Then drizzle the reserved miso ginger soy sauce over everything. Enjoy!

I am not a fan of cooked salmon (I do love it as sushi) and have been looking to incorporate it more into my family’s diet. I came across this recipe on IG, made it a few nights ago and can say 100% this is the only recipe I’ll need from now on. Even my toddler loved it, and she’s not been a fan of salmon before. This recipe was some of the best and EASIEST  salmon I’ve ever made. I was able to make the marinade in between meetings while working from home, marinating for about 3 hours and the flavor was awesome! Not spice adjustments needed at all.

We live in Hawaii so we find a lot of miso dishes, but this….whooooooo this is the most perfect soy miso salmon I have ever tried. Made it for my wife and she’s hooked. Trying your coconut curry salmon next, keep up the fabulous work, your recipes are amazing and inspiring!!!

I don’t know how you do it, Quin but each recipe I try is more delicious than the last.  This was fantastic.  The marinade took some time but was SO worth it.  I never would have thought to include pickles and corn but they added so much flavor.  Keep those recipes coming!!

This was FANTASTIC. Flavour-packed and a crowd pleaser! Just added this to my “keep” recipes and I am ready to try it with chicken and flank steak too. 

The sauce, which is used for the marinade so ends up being cooked, is also great as a sauce on top, so versatile!

I made this, it's amazing. If you think the salmon is too salty, the rice really helps mellow out the saltiness when you put it all together. I baked my salmon at 375F for about 15min and it turned out great (I made sure to check the internal temp just in case). Excellent dish, super easy to make, and I definitely will be making it again.

One of my now favourite salmon recipes! It helps that it is super easy to make too. Making the marinade took quite a bit of time but the end result is worth it!

Bang Bang Salmon with Avocado Cucumber Salsa

salmon filet

all-purpose seasoning mix (this is

mayo

sweet chili sauce

garlic, grated

chili crisp

Prep the Salmon

Cut the salmon into individual portions if you want. Pat the salmon dry. Coat the salmon with the spice mix. Place salmon on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Make the Bang Bang Sauce

Mix mayo, sweet chili sauce, garlic, and soy sauce in a small bowl. Set half of it aside for after baking.

Bake the Salmon

Spread a small spoonful of sauce over the seasoned salmon pieces. Bake for 10 minutes towards the top of the oven. Then turn the broiler on for another 2-3 minutes, until your salmon looks golden brown and a bit caramelized on top.  

Serve

Serve the salmon over rice, with a vegetable of choice, and the reserved bang bang sauce + chili crisp drizzled over top! So easy and so good.

This One Pot Salmon and Rice is a true winner for those busy nights. It combines succulent salmon with flavorful, perfectly cooked rice, all infused with the aromas of garlic, bell peppers, and a hint of lemon. Quick to prepare and even easier to clean up.

One Pot Salmon And Rice

salmon fillets

seasoning salt

olive oil (divided)

onion (finely diced)

green bell pepper (finely diced)

red bell pepper (finely diced)

garlic (minced)

chicken bouillon

paprika

turmeric

salt and pepper (to taste)

rice (rinsed)

chicken broth (low sodium, or vegetable broth)

parsley (for garnish)

Season the Salmon:

Start by seasoning the salmon fillets with seasoning salt on both sides.

Sear the Salmon:

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if they have skin) and sear for about 2-3 minutes per side, just to get a nice color. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

Cook The Veggies:

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add an additional 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the chopped onion, bell peppers and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Toast the Rice:

Add the rinsed rice, chicken bouillon, paprika, turmeric, salt and pepper to the skillet and stir for a couple of minutes to lightly toast it.

Add Liquids:

Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth, and add lemon zest. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Cook the Rice and Salmon:

Gently place the seared salmon fillets on top of the rice. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook over low heat for about 18-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through and the salmon is flaky.

Final Touches:

Once everything is cooked, drizzle lemon juice over the salmon and rice. Check for seasoning and adjust if needed.

Garnish and Serve:

Sprinkle chopped parsley and/or lemon wedges over the dish and serve warm.

Delicious! We substituted a bit of asafetida for the garlic for dietary reasons. We would make this one again.

Absolutely delicious. I added chopped spinach. Will definitely make again. A keeper!

Made it exactly as written and wow, it was so good. Reminded me of paella almost. I would think any type of fish or seafood would work well in this recipe. 

This one is a keeper and is going in to the regular dinner rotation.

I’ll admit I don’t like paprika or turmeric very much. I made this recipe exactly as instructed except I used an Italian seasoning blend instead, and added a few handfuls of fresh spinach. DELICIOUS!!!!! This was truly one-pan, which was really a time-saver.

Love this recipes for so many reasons.  It’s easy, economical, healthy, 1 cooking pan, always have the ingredients on hand.  It’s delicious and my husband loves it too!  Saved the recipe to favorites and am making it again tonight.

We thought this was really good! I think the rice to salmon ratio is a bit off, there's a lot of leftover rice, but we'll eat it with over proteins for sure. I think the salmon got a little dried out and next time I would add it maybe five minutes in to the rice cooking time.

This was delicious! I added celery and carrots to the rice just because I had some that needed used up, and I omitted the tumeric since I have a child who doesn’t like it. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly! I was nervous at first that the salmon wouldn’t cook fully, but I trusted the process and it was perfect! The sear really gives it a nice flavor. This would be really good with chicken as well. This will be added to our monthly meal plan!

So different and delicious. I used very little bell pepper, but fennel bulb and celery instead. Thank you for this winner!
