Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Whisk melted butter, garlic, basil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a medium-sized bowl.

Place a large sheet of aluminum foil on a baking sheet.  Layer a piece of parchment paper that is slightly smaller than the foil on top.

Lay salmon fillets on paper with a slight gab between each one.

Pour half of the lemon-basil sauce over salmon fillets.  Reserve the remaining sauce for later.  

Top each fillet with one lemon slice.

Close paper and aluminum foil around salmon to make a packet.  Bake salmon for 14-16 minutes without undoing the foil packet.

Open the foil packet, pour remaining lemon-basil sauce over fillets and return salmon to oven under a High broil for 5-7 minutes. (Make sure you tear off or fold down any parchment paper that might be sticking up!)

Easy Citrus Baked Salmon in Foil with Asparagus

(4 ounces.) salmon filet

Create a pocket with 4 sheets of tin foil. Place on a baking sheet.

Evenly distribute asparagus spears among the 4 packets. Season with salt &amp; pepper.

In a small bowl, add garlic, mustard, butter, honey, lemon zest, smoked paprika, thyme red pepper flakes, pepper and salt. Stir together.

Pour mixture over each salmon and gently rub in.

Next place two slices of lemon on each salmon.

Bake for 20 minutes. Turn broiler on HIGH.

I omitted the thyme and lemon zest, and seasoned the salmon with lemon pepper &amp; garlic salt.

I was nervous about the mixture of honey &amp; mustard, but it was SO good!

This delicious Baked Salmon Recipe is cooked with lemon, butter, fresh minced garlic, and sweet honey, and baked in the oven for maximum flavor and minimal cleanup. Super easy to make, have this absolutely delicious salmon recipe on the table in 20 minutes or less!

Time allowing, remove the salmon from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking and allow it to come to room temperature. Pat dry with paper towels.

Preheat the oven to 400°F and place the oven rack in the middle of the oven.

In a small bowl whisk together all of the ingredients for the sauce - the melted butter, minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, Italian seasoning, red chili flakes, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.

Line a large baking sheet/rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place the lemon slices on top of the foil in a single, non-overlapping layer. Place the salmon, skin-side-down, directly on top of the lemon slices.

Pour the butter/garlic/honey sauce over the salmon and use a spoon or pastry brush to spread evenly so that the entire surface of the salmon is covered.

Transfer to the preheated oven and bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the salmon registers 140-145°F as measured by an instant read thermometer.
