This classic layer tex-mex dip is a always a hit at parties, potlucks and reunions. Fix a batch for the family for movie night and watch it disappear.

Easy 7 Layer Dip

(16 ounce) can refried beans

(10 ounce) can rotel tomatoes and green chilies drained

taco seasoning

avocados

lime juiced

garlic

cilantro

onion powder

salt

cayenne pepper

sour cream

cheddar and monterey jack cheese blend

black olives

cherry tomatoes

green onions

Combine the refried beans, rotel tomatoes and taco seasoning.  Spread it in a 7 x 11 inch casserole dish.

Mash the avocado.  Mix in the lime juice, garlic, cilantro, onion powder, salt and cayenne.  Spread it over the bean layer.

Carefully spread the sour cream over the avocado layer.  Top with the finely shredded cheese, black olives, tomatoes and green onions.  Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Seven Layer Greek Dip is a fun Mediterranean&nbsp;spin on the classic&nbsp;version we're all used to! This dip begins with a layer of freshly made hummus then it's topped with a creamy, garlic-herb&nbsp;Greek yogurt layer then a layer of English cucumbers, grape tomatoes, black or kalamata olives, then&nbsp;finally it's finished with feta and red onions. Don't you just want to dive into all that goodness?

Greek Seven Layer Dip

Tbsp tahini

lemon juice

garlic (, minced)

tsp cumin

tsp salt (,

olive oil

yogurt

Tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley

dill

English cucumber

grape tomatoes

black olives or kalamata olives

feta cheese

red onion (, rinsed and drained)

Add drained garbanzo beans to a food processor along with tahini, lemon juice, 1 clove of garlic, cumin and 1/2 tsp salt. Pulse for about 1 minute then with food processor running slowly pour olive oil and 2 Tbsp of the liquid from the chick peas into the food processor. Hummus should be somewhat thick, but add more of the liquid as needed 1 Tbsp at a time. Spread hummus into an even layer in an 11 by 7-inch or 8 by 8-inch baking dish (at this point chill through if you have time).

In a medium mixing bowl stir together Greek yogurt with parsley, dill and remaining garlic. Dollop mixture over hummus layer in dish and spread into an even layer. Top with cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, feta and onions. Serve with pita chips (serve immediately after sprinkling veggies over top for best results). Store in refrigerator.

*I made a double batch of the hummus so I could save half for later. If you want to do this just double eveything from the garbanzo beans to the olive oil then only use half of it for the dip.

Start Layering

Spread whipped cream cheese in the bottom of a 9x13 casserole dish or serving platter in an even layer. In a bowl, stir together refried beans and salsa until evenly combined. Spread the bean mixture evenly on top of the cream cheese.

Mix sour cream layer

In another bowl, stir together sour cream, mayonnaise, and taco seasoning until combined. Spread carefully over the bean layer.

Add Cheese

Sprinkle cheese on top of the sour cream and mayo mixture in an even layer.

Add Vegetables

Sprinkle lettuce on top of cheese, and then top with green onions and tomatoes.

Serve

This Tex Mex Layered dip is made with layers of creamy, taco seasoned beans, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, tomatoes, green onions and olives. Easy to make a prep ahead, simply unwrap and set out for snacking!

sour cream (divided)

guacamole

cheddar cheese (shredded)

monterey jack cheese (shredded)

green onions (sliced (white and green parts))

In a small bowl combine the refried beans, taco seasoning, and 1/4 cup of the sour cream. Stir to combine.

Spread the refried bean layer into the bottom of a square 8x8 glass dish or a pie dish. Smooth out the layer with the back of a spoon.

Spread the guacamole on top of the refried beans. Smooth with the back of the spoon, then continue and do the same with the remainder of the sour cream.

Sprinkle the shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, chopped green onion, and sliced black olives on top.

Cover the 7 layer dip with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator. Let the layered dip chill for at least 30 minutes, serve cold with tortilla chips.

In an 8-inch square casserole pan or 2.5 quart casserole dish, spread the refried beans in a single layer on the bottom.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning and stir to combine. Gently spread mixture over the refried beans in an even layer.

Use a fine mesh sieve to drain the salsa to remove any excess water. Then, spread the drained salsa over the guacamole.

Top with shredded cheese. Sprinkle black olives, tomatoes, and green onions on top.

Serve immediately with tortilla chips or crackers, or store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Stir

In a large bowl, mash the avocados. Stir in the cilantro, jalapeno, lime juice, and salt. Spread over the sour cream.

Chill

Spread out the salsa, then romaine, cheese, olives, and green onions. Cover and chill until ready to serve.
