Best Slow Cooker Carnitas

pork butt roast

bacon grease (or oil)

onion,

garlic, (peeled and smashed)

orange juice

liquid smoke

sea salt

cumin

ancho chile powder

black pepper

Smear the bacon grease on the bottom of a large slow cooker. Cut the pork into large chunks and place inside the slow cooker. Then add ALL remaining ingredients around the pork.

Turn the slow cooker on: Low for 8-10 hours, or High for 4-6 hours. Once the pork is fork-tender, use 2 forks to shred the meat into the juices.

If you like your carnitas crispy on the edges (like it's served in restaurants) use a slotted spoon to scoop the meat out of the juices and spread in a thin layer on a baking sheet(s). Place on the upper oven rack and broil for 2-5 minutes, until darker crispy edges form. Do not take your eyes off the broiler, you can burn the carnitas quickly. Serve over rice, taco, or on top of salads!

Chicken Alfredo like you've never seen it before!

Slow Cooker Cajun Chicken Alfredo

olive oil

chicken breasts

smoked sausage, sliced into 1 inch pieces

heavy cream

chicken broth

butter

cajun seasoning

garlic,

penne pasta

hot water + 2 tablespoons water, separated

cornstarch

mozzarella cheese

parmesan cheese

garlic powder

Salt & pepper

parsley

Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat oil over high heat and quickly sear chicken breasts on both sides.

Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker, along with sausage, heavy cream, chicken broth, butter, garlic cloves, cajun seasoning, and a sprinkle of salt &amp; pepper.

Cook on low for about 4 hours (or high for 2-3 hours), until chicken has reached 165 degrees. Remove chicken from slow cooker and set aside to cool and slice.

Stir in 1/2 cup of hot water and uncooked penne pasta. Cover and cook on high for about 30 minutes, until pasta is tender.

In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water until combined. Pour into the slow cooker and stir to thicken up the sauce. Let cook for a few more minutes until thick.

Stir in parmesan and mozzerella cheese and sliced chicken. Top with a little bit of cajun seasoning and fresh parsley for garnish and serve up hot!

Spicy Crockpot Barbacoa Recipe

chuck

“New Mexico” chiles, (Anaheim)

3-5 chipotle chiles, (canned in adobo sauce)

garlic, (peeled)

apple cider vinegar

brown sugar

bay leaves

salt

oregano

allspice

cinnamon

corn tortillas

Garnishes: lime wedges, (chopped cilantro, diced red onion)

In a large pot or bowl, soak the dried chiles in 2 cups of boiling water. Place a small dish over the top to help keep the chiles submerged. Soak for 10 minutes, until tender. Carefully remove the stems and seeds. Reserve the chile water.

Place the softened chiles, chipotle chiles, onion, garlic, vinegar, and brown sugar in the blender. Pour the chile water over the top. Puree until smooth.

Place the chuck roast in a large slow cooker. Add the bay leaves, cumin, salt, oregano, pepper, allspice, and cinnamon. Pour the chile puree over the top. Cover the slow cooker and turn on high for 4-6 hours, or&nbsp;on low for 8-12 hours.

Once the roast is fork-tender. Shred the beef into the chile sauce. Cover and keep warm until ready to eat.

To serve: Spoon beef barbacoa onto two layered corn tortillas. Top with diced onions and cilantro and serve with a lime wedge.

Slow Cooker Creamy Mushroom Chicken is the perfect chicken dish for the Crock Pot, lots of mushrooms in a creamy red wine sauce

Slow Cooker Creamy Mushroom Chicken

kosher salt, pepper, crushed pepper

oz sliced baby portobello mushrooms

garlic (minced)

mushroom soup

red wine

fresh parsley, mashed potatoes, rice, pasta

Place the chicken in the slow cooker and season with kosher salt, pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning to taste.

Add the mushrooms and garlic to the slow cooker.

In a bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup and red wine. Then pour this over top of the chicken and mushrooms. Set the slow cooker to low for 6 to 8 hours.

10 minutes before serving, shred the chicken and add the mozzarella cheese, stir until combined. Save some cheese to sprinkle over top and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve once the cheese is melted over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta if desired or enjoy as it is.

I think I may have done something wrong... My half and half looks and smells like it curdled. I followed the recipe (it seemed easy enough) but something tells me it went wrong. Mine is not creamy but lumpy and looks like cottage cheese.

I made these today for the first time and they were fantastic! Thank you. I suggest cooking them on low. I didn’t want to get up, so I cooked them on high and they browned a little on the sides. But still good!!!

Can the amount of thyme and rosemary be correct?  Maybe it should be 2 tsp and not tablespoons?  I made this recipe and those two herbs were overwhelming.  No one particularly cared for it and I had to toss most of it.  The dog wouldn't even eat it :(
I might make this again but only put in 1tsp of each herb.

This dish was awesome for Easter! I was a little worried about the cream it seemed there wasn't enough so, when I looked at the comments nobody liked it! I was already making it so I prayed that it would taste good plus I doubled the cream recipe! Everyone loved it and commented how good it tasted! It did not turn out soupy nor goopy or over powering with fresh herbs, it was perfect!

Made this recipe for Father’s Day dinner.   It was a hit.  I mixed the Parmesan with the Gruyere cheese and spread one cup over each layer.  So good and easy to make.

Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

tbs paprika

tbs salt

tbs pepper

tbs brown sugar

pork back ribs

barbecue sauce

Add all of the seasonings together in a small bowl. Whisk to combine.

Rub the seasoning mixture on both sides of the ribs. Brush 1 1/4 cups of the barbecue sauce all over the ribs.

Place ribs into the slow cooker standing upright with the meaty side against the inside wall of the slow cooker. Pour the remaining barbecue sauce over the top. Pour the apple cider vinegar over everything. Place lid on top and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until fall apart tender *Do not open the slow cooker while cooking until the very end* Enjoy!

Slow Cooker Pineapple Barbecue Chicken

chicken breast

tbs minced garlic

soy sauce

pineapple chunks

*For the end cooked rice

To a slow cooker add all of the ingredients except for the rice. Stir the ingredients together.

Place lid on top cook on low for 5 hours or until the chicken is cooked. Enjoy over the cooked rice!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Bacon with Vegetables

russet potatoes

OR frozen green beans

tsp pepper

tbs ranch seasoning

bacon

Cut the potatoes into bite sized pieces.

Slice the bacon into small pieces.

Place the chicken in the bottom of the slow cooker place the potatoes, green beans, seasonings, and bacon on top. Cover and cook on low or 6-7 hours. Enjoy!

Slow Cooker Seasoned Rice and Chicken

Season the chicken on both sides with the seasonings.

To the slow cooker add in the Knoor rice bags, frozen broccoli, and broth stir well. Place the seasoned chicken on top. Cover with the lid and cook on low for4-5 hours or just until the chicken is cooked. Enjoy!

red bell pepper, diced

ranch seasoning mix

To a slow cooker add all of the ingredients except the Parmesan and cream cheese stir well. Place lid on top and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until the chicken is cooked.

Once the chicken is cooked shred with two forks. Add in the parmesan and cream cheese. Stir well. Place the lid on top and continue to cook on low for an additional 20 minutes. Stir well and enjoy over egg noodles, rice, cauliflower rice or anything!

Slow Cooker Hamburger Potato Casserole 

beef

white onion, diced

cream of mushroom soup

tsp salt

can corn, drained

cheddar cheese, shredded

To a skillet over medium heat on the stove add the ground beef and onion break the ground beef up and cook through. Once cooked remove any excess grease in the pan. Place in the slow cooker.

Cut the russet potatoes into bite sized pieces. Place into the slow cooker.

To the slow cooker add in the cream of mushroom, seasonings, and drained corn stir to combine the ingredients. Cook on low for 5 hours.

Once the cooking time is up stir in the cheese and let it melt. Serve and enjoy!

8 Can Taco Soup - Slow Cooker and Stovetop

-14 ounces can diced tomatoes, drained

sweet corn, drained

chicken

cream of chicken soup

- 1 ounces packet taco seasoning

green enchilada sauce

Grease the slow cooker with nonstick spray, add all of the ingredients into the slow cooker stir well. Cook on LOW for 3-5 hours or HIGH for 2 hours.

Once cooked stir well. Top with your favorite toppings, cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, cilantro, and more!

Tuscan Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs

chicken thighs (about 6 thighs)

shallot (chopped, about 1/2 cup)

Heat the olive oil in a skillet on the stove over medium high heat. When the pan is hot, add the chicken thighs. Sprinkle with some salt and pepper. Brown on both sides, 2-4 minutes per side.

Transfer chicken to the slow cooker.

Reduce the heat to medium and add the shallot to the pan. Saute, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Add the garlic and saute for 30 seconds.

Pour the chicken broth into the pan and cook for 1 minutes, gently scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Turn off the heat.

Transfer the contents of the pan to the slow cooker.

Add the Italian seasoning, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper and sun dried tomatoes to the slow cooker.

Cover and cook on high heat for 2-2.5 hours or low for 4-5 hours, until chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.

In a small bowl, whisk together the cream and cornstarch. Stir it into the slow cooker, along with the spinach. Cook for 5 minutes, until the sauce is slightly thickened.

Serve with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired.

30 Crockpot Recipes &amp; Slow Cooker Meals!

With the lid on, cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 6 hours.  Add in the green peppers in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
