Spiked Hot Chocolate

oz milk

tbsp chocolate powder mix

oz chocolate vodka

whipped cream vodka

SPIKED HOT CHOCOLATE

In a small saucepan, or in a microwave safe mug, heat milk to desired temperature for hot cocoa.

Stir in cocoa powder until it is completely dissolved.

Add in chocolate and whipped cream vodkas, stirring to mix well.

Top with whipped cream or marshmallows.

A spiked hot chocolate cocktail is rich and creamy, with spicy heat! Easy to make in a crockpot, make this recipe with or without alcohol.

Mexican Spiked Hot Chocolate Cocktail or Mocktail

almond milk

coconut cream coconut milk (water on top discarded)

bittersweet chocolate, chopped

chocolate chocolate

cinnamon

tsp nutmeg

tsp pure vanilla extract

tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

tequila gold

chocolate liquor (non alcoholic) or dark chocolate liqueur (with alcohol)

Toasted marshmallows- these are my favorite vegan marshmallows, or make my homemade marshmallows

Place all ingredients except for the tequila, chocolate liqueur, and toppings into a slow cooker. Whisk to get the cocoa powder as mixed in as possible. 

Cook on high setting for 1 hour, stirring often. After 1 hour, remove cinnamon sticks, stir, then cook on low setting for another 1 or 2 hours, or until chocolate melts completely.  

Stir in the tequila gold (if desired) and chocolate liqueur, then turn slow cooker down to “warm”.

Serve with toasted vegan marshmallows on top.

cocoa powder

sugar

semisweet chocolate chips chocolate bar

vanilla extract

Baileys Irish cream* (more or less to taste)

Make hot chocolate

Place milk, cocoa powder, and sugar in a saucepan set over medium heat. Whisk frequently until the cocoa powder and sugar have dissolved, and the mixture is hot (but not boiling).

Add alcohol

Add the chocolate chips and stir frequently until melted. Add vanilla and Baileys. Stir to combine. Serve immediately.

The combo of honey, cinnamon, and the rum created a lot of subtle nuances that I didn&#039;t expect... but it is so delicious! You gotta try this yummy rummy hot chocolate

Cups Whole Milk

Ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate

Cinnamon Stick

Teaspoons Honey

Teaspoon Brown Sugar

Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Tablespoons Dark Rum

&nbsp;In a heavy-bottomed saucepan add milk, chocolate, cinnamon, honey and brown sugar.&nbsp; Heat gently until chocolate is melted.

 Take off heat and add vanilla and rum and stir.  Remove cinnamon stick and serve.
