A classic recipe for tasty and beefy grilled picanha

Grilled Picanha Steak Skewers

Picanha steak (3-4 lbs)

tbsp kosher salt

tbsp black pepper

olive oil (to lightly brush beef)

Slice Picanha steak into 1 inch thick slices, cutting against the grain

Score the fat with your knife, about a quarter of an inch deep

Fold each section of beef in half, with the fat side facing out.  Once folded, place each piece on the skewer, poking through the fatty exterior of the beef

Brush skewers lightly with olive oil then sprinkle salt and pepper mixture on top to season the beef

Preheat grill to 450°F - if possible create two temperature zones on your grill

Place skewers on grill grates, ideally over the indirect heat side of the grill.  If you have to place the skewers directly over a burner just be sure to check on your beef every couple of minutes to ensure grill does not flare

Close the lid and cook the skewers for about 20 minutes, flipping every 5-7 minutes

Remove skewers from grill and allow them to rest for about 10 minutes, then serve and enjoy!

Honey Soy Steak Kebabs are tender, flavorful steak marinated, skewered and grilled to perfection.  There served with a fresh cilantro lime sauce for the perfect summer meal! 

Honey Soy Steak Kebabs with Cilantro Lime Sauce

Kikkoman® Less Sodium Soy Sauce

honey

olive oil

garlic

sirloin

onion

cilantro leaves

salt

extra virgin olive oil

Whisk the soy sauce, 3 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon lime juice, and garlic clove in a small bowl until combined.

Place the meat in a bowl or baking dish.  Pour the marinade into the bowl and toss to coat the meat completely.  Cover and marinate for up to 3 hours or overnight.

Preheat the grill to medium and oil the grates.

Thread the chunks of steak and red onion onto (4) large metal skewers.  Grill for 8-10 minutes, turning every 2 minutes until each side is charred and the meat is cooked to the desired degree of doneness.

Remove from heat, cover loosely in foil, and let rest for 2-3 minutes.

Prepare the marinade:

Place the cilantro, garlic clove, lime juice, honey, salt, and pepper in the bowl of a food processor.  Process until coarsely chopped.  With the machine running, add the olive oil through the feed tube and process until the sauce is smooth.  Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Serve the steak kebabs with the cilantro lime sauce and enjoy!

Grilled Asian Garlic Steak Skewers are marinated in a delicious asian sesame sauce and grilled to tender and juicy perfection!

Grilled Asian Garlic Steak Skewers

sirloin steak

red onion

soy sauce

sesame oil

vegetable oil

sugar

Tablespoon grated ginger

tbsp sesame seeds

green onions (for garnish)

Cut steak into one inch cubes. Cut the red onion into large chunks and set aside.

In a large bowl whisk together soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, vegetable oil, sugar, ginger and sesame seeds. Add the steak and toss to coat in marinade. Marinate for 3 hours or overnight.

Preheat the grill to medium high heat. Thread the meat and the red onion onto the skewers. Grill for 8-10 minutes until the meat is done to desired liking.

Ninja Foodi Grill Steak Kabobs

(I used KC Strips)

Start by prepping your steaks. I cut mine in about 1-inch strips. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes. Or they will burn up.

You will pour your Italian dressing over the steak and let it start marinating while you prep your vegetables.

Wash and prep your vegetables. I left the mushrooms whole and tomatoes whole. Then I sliced the pepper and onions in around 1-inch pieces.

Once your skewers have been soaked in water, if using wood, you will then start pushing your steak and vegetables onto the skewers.

Place in a dish and then pour the dressing over the top of the veggies and meat. Then cover and let marinate for 3-4 hours in the fridge.

Preheat your Ninja Foodi Grill when you are ready to cook. You will select the grill setting and the highest heat. Let it preheat, this takes about 12 minutes.

Once the grill is hot, carefully place your steak kabobs onto the grill. I was able to cook 4-5 at a time.

Close lid and select 8 minutes. Flip at the 4-minute mark.

Cook your steaks until it reaches your desired doneness. At 8 minutes our medium-well to well done. If you want more rare, cook for a bit less.

Once your steak skewers are done, remove with tons, and then remove from skewers and serve.
