I was so hungry for cilantro lime shrimp and came across this recipe, and am so glad that I did. This was everything I expected it to be. All the flavors work so well together. A keeper for sure.

They are really good, I didn’t have cabbage or avocado so I substituted for arugula, and spinach. I also added some cucumber, and like someone else in the comments, I added a bit of agave maple syrup and red pepper flakes to the slaw. The tortilla is from Trader Joe’s - it is delicious! The sauce is at the bottom - mayo, siracha, lime zest, garlic powder, and a dash of mustard- delish!

I used half of the lime juice because they were a bit too sour for me, otherwise they were delicious . I make them every week for taco Tuesday. :))

We have made this a few times and I will often use a premade shrimp marinade mix and whip up the slaw and the sauce to complete the meal. I use chipotle tobasco for my hot sauce and this yields a really nice smoky and complex flavor. Winco roasted corn veggie mix is a great compliment as a side. I could eat this 2 times a week and maybe never get bored of it. It's a great recipe to try and I enjoy mixing it up a bit.

We also really like the whole wheat mission carb balance street taco tortillas for this meal. The size is perfect and the guilt is minimal!

These were so good!  I have never had shrimp tacos before, delicious!  I didn’t have any mayonnaise so I used Mexican Sour Cream instead and a sprinkle of Queso Fresco.

These were so good/flavorful! We let the shrimp marinate ~45-60 min. then threw them on the grill. We added cheese and sour cream (with a side of Patron margaritas!) Too good!

Loved this recipe! I did have to tweak the slaw because it was a bit tart for us. I added a tablespoon of honey and a half tablespoon of fresh orange juice.

These were great! I subbed in some sliced mango for the avocado, and added some minced fresh jalapeño. Really tasty and full of flavor. My husband loved them.  First time I tried toasting the corn tortillas directly on burner. Game changer!! Never again will I steam in microwave.

I doubled the slaw recipe since I like a lot of veggies in my tacos. I added a fresh mango (cut in cubes) to the slaw, honey, red chili flakes, and pepper. I also added lime juice (not just the zest) to the mayo sauce. Yummy!

This was absolutely delicious and will now be a staple recipe in my household! Thank you for sharing! Ps I don’t like slaw so I just added Mexican squash to the shrimp instead!

We personally prefered the recipe with half lime, otherwise so delicious. Tested many times with friends, it’s unanimous.

These were delicious!!! Since we’re stuck at home during the COVID-19 quarantine, I’m trying to make special meals for us so that dinner isn’t boring too. These were the biggest hit so far. Even our 22 year old son who is a “man of few words” would not stop raving about them. My hubby said it is one of his new favorites. Yum yum yum 😋 Only things I tweaked were I used a bag of tri-colored slaw instead of chopping up cabbage myself, and I baked the fish in the oven instead of cooking on the stove.

My aunt called me this morning and decided to have some friends over and wanted to serve a variety of tacos. I ran to the supermarket and grabbed everything to make chicken and beef tacos and thought to myself it would be cool to make fish tacos. I found this recipe and decided to give it a try and OMG they were amazing! Even down to the coleslaw.  Thank you for this fabulous recipe. This will be a party staple at our home for years to come. Ridiculously delicious. It was a hit!

Since we tried this recipe we now have fish tacos once a week. Luckily for us we have a house in the Gulf of Mexico and fish a lot. I have found that Mangrove Snapper is perfect for this recipe.  The filets are the perfect size.  We also have used this recipe for gulf white shrimp tacos and it’s awesome as well. I like to throw the corn tortillas in the same pan that I cook the fish in to crisp them up. The remaining oil in the pan works perfectly go that.  I also prefer using cast iron to cook the fish in as well.

Used 1 1/2 tsp of cayenne and it was not too spicy.  The slaw is amazing, don’t skip it.

Loved this. I wrapped in Bibb lettuce to save carbs. I used avocado mayo in the slaw and somehow forgot to get cilantro so used Italian parsley. Instead of using sliced avocado I made a quick guacamole with some cut up onion and spices. It was colorful, tasty and pretty darn healthy!

Just tried these. Store did not have cod fish so I used tilapia instead. It was SOOOOO good! Will be doing these again - very simple and quick. And the marinade takes the fish to the next level!

Just made today! Super easy and DELICIOUS. I ended up using Gorton's breaded fish fillets from Target instead of the cod and it worked very well. Coleslaw was amazing.

I made this last night and it was delicious! As good if not better than my favorite fish taco restaurant.  The slaw and marinade have such great flavors. I used a bag of precut coleslaw instead of purple cabbage to save a little time.

We enjoyed this dish this evening minus the slaw and hot pepper. The fish marinated in lime and seasonings turned out delicious with avocado, cilantro, and sour cream.

Wonderful! My husband, who only barbecues outside, made the marinade for the fish. We had all the ingredients on hand including frozen Costco cod. With a side salad, this meal is a keeper for a warm California night.

This was fantastic!  Made it last night and it was so easy.  I had to make substitutions (used plain yogurt instead of sour cream, dried cilantro instead of fresh, lemon instead of lime) but it came out great!

Delicious and easy flavorful recipe.  My husband loves very spicy food and thought the fish had a nice heat.  I thought it was a little spicy, so I added some rice. I had some Chesapeake Bay striped bass ("rock fish") that I wanted to use and it worked great.  I also didn't have cabbage, so I made a substitute slaw with green onions, red pepper, tomato, carrots, and jalapeno. Even my picky eater enjoyed.

Recipe was really easy to follow. I made the marinade for the fish exactly as suggested but will add a little more kick to it next time, and there will be a next time.  The sauce was also easy to follow and had a nice flavor.  We did not use the corn or sour cream. I think next time I will use the fish marinade and make a batter for the fish as it needed a little more crunch.  All in all, for my first attempt I was very pleased.  My husband even had one which is saying a lot because he is super picky!

I have prepared many fish tacos over the year but this was really the best recipe yet!  The fish was so delicious, tender, marinate so perfect, and cooked up quickly.  The slaw was superb..   My husband complimented me over and over again--which is really great considering we have been married for 50 years!

I am glad I read the comments... I went heavy on the spices, and used condensed tomato soup, in place of fire roasted tomatoes, I used rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies. Husband LOVED it!

Very easy and a wonderful weeknight meal - It does lack some flavor and to be more of a soup (which I wanted) I needed to add more liquid. 
My additions were : 
15oz can of kindey beans.
Total of 2 packets of Old El Paso taco seasoning.
Total of 2C beef broth & 1C of water.
+ salt to taste. 
Really pleased with the taste & will serve with the sides cornbread, cheese & greek yogurt. I don't have a taco soup recipe and this may be my go-to.

Made this last night. My husband was fartin' hard for hours after. Rocked the house!!! Such a good meal.

I agree with other commenters that this would have been pretty bland as written, so I used three times the taco seasoning called for, added some New Mexico chile powder, included a jalapeno with the onion and used Rotel tomatoes with habaneros instead of fire roasted. It was spicier and good enough, but IMO resembled a watery chili rather than a soup. I guess I just prefer real chili, which would have been thicker but with some of the same ingredients.

I make this all the time I just do it differently. I used two pounds of beef, tacos easing, cook my meat in garlic powder, old bay, and creole. Then I add a can Of diced tomatoes, rotes, corn, pinto beans, and black eyed peas. Bri g to a boil. Then I serve in a bowl with sour cream and cheese on top. Use tortilla chips to dip 🙌🏻🤤🤤

It was great instead of beef i used deer meat and my family didn't know that I had and they enjoyed it.

This Chicken Taco Soup Is The Coziest Dinner Ever

The perfect recipe for beer braised, fork tender pork carnitas. This recipe is so delicious you won&#039;t want to put anything else in your tacos.

Instant Pot Beer Braised Pork Carnitas

pork shoulder (boneless, skinless)

pork

250 ml beer (you can also use orange juice if you'd like)

tbsp cumin (ground)

coriander seed (ground)

oregano

bay leaves

garlic (peeled)

chili

salt

lime (juiced)

Preparing the Instant Pot

Dice all the meat into 2cm/1inch pieces and place in the instant pot.

Mix the spices

Mix all the ingredients except the lime juice and mix with the meat in the instant pot.

Pressurize

Close the lid and set the time to high pressure for 27 minutes.

De-pressurize

When the timer beeps let the instant pot naturally de-pressurize for 10 minutes. Manually let out the rest

Strain

Strain the meat from the liquid, saving the liquid.

Get a frying pan hot over medium heat and add the olive oil. Fry the meat in batches until nicely browned. Always be careful when adding wet ingredients to hot oil as it will splatter a bit.

Add the braising liquid

Add all the fried meat back in the pan and add the saved braising liquid.  Cook over medium heat until most of the liquid is evaporated. Season with lime juice and salt and pepper to taste.

Serve in your favourite taco with your favourite sides! Enjoy!

Tex-Mex Lasagna

taco seasoning

(14.5 oz) petite diced tomatoes, undrained

(15 oz) tomato sauce

(4 oz) chopped green chilies

cottage cheese

eggs

corn tortillas, torn

cheddar cheese

Monterey Jack cheese

tortilla chips

Salsa

tomatoes, diced

avocados

Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 7x11 casserole dish and set aside.

Brown the meat in a large skillet, then drain excess fat.

Return meat to skillet and taco seasoning, seasoned salt, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and chopped green chilies. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 15-20 minutes.

Combine eggs and cottage cheese in a small bowl, whisking until mixed.

In the prepared casserole dish, layer half of the meat sauce, half of the tortillas, half of the egg mixture, and half of each kind of shredded cheese. Repeat layers.

Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before topping with tortilla chips, avocado chunks, diced tomato, and salsa. Serve up hot and enjoy!

Pork Carnitas Tacos

boneless Ontario pork shoulder, cut into 1/2 inch pieces ((about 4 lb/2 kg),)

orange juice ((375 mL))

garlic

white spanish onion,

tbsp ground cumin ((15 mL))

salt ((15 mL))

tsp dried oregano ((10 mL))

tsp black pepper ((5 mL))

tbsp sweetened condensed milk ((30 mL))

cilantro ((300 mL))

corn torillas, warmed

radishes ((250 mL))

salsa ((500 mL))

Preheat

Bake

In a large roasting pan toss together pork, orange juice, broth, garlic, onion, salt, cumin and pepper to coat evenly. Cover with foil and bake for 3 hours or until pork is tender.

Reduce

Uncover and stir in sweetened condensed milk.Increase oven temperature to 375ºF (190ºC). Return pork to oven, uncovered andbake for 20 to 40 minutes or until most of the liquid is reduced and porkcaramelizes and is falling apart tender.

Shred

Remove garlic cloves and onion chunks and discard. Using two forks, shred meat and discard any large chunks of fat. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
