3 Ingredient Easy Teriyaki Sauce Recipe

soy sauce (I

water

cornstarch

honey (to taste)

water (NOTE THIS IS REDUCED FROM ABOVE)

rice vinegar (to taste)

pineapple

pineapple juice

garlic (minced)

ginger

In a small pot whisk soy sauce, water, and cornstarch together until smooth. Add any of the optional additional ingredients you are using (vinegar, garlic, ginger, etc) .

Heat over medium-high heat until warm and then whisk in honey until dissolved.

Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and whisk constantly until desired thickness is reached. Do not leave unattended it thickens quickly once it gets boiling and will rapidly burn.

Taste and adjust as desired. If too thick, thin with additional water to desired consistency.

Easy Teriyaki Sauce Recipe

This recipe for teriyaki beef stir fry is tender slices of beef sauteed with a variety of colorful vegetables, all coated in a quick and easy homemade teriyaki sauce.

Teriyaki Beef Stir Fry

lbs thinly sliced steak

broccoli

salt and pepper

vegetable oil

Optional garnishes: sliced green onions and sesame seeds

soy sauce

brown sugar

garlic

honey

sesame oil

For the sauce: Place the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, honey and sesame oil in a small pot over medium high heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved, about 3 minutes. Turn up heat to high and bring to a boil.

Mix the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water until dissolved. Add the cornstarch mixture to the sauce and boil for 1-2 minutes or until sauce has thickened. Set sauce aside.

For the stir fry:&nbsp;Heat 1 teaspoon vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the vegetables and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until vegetables have started to brown and soften.

Add 2 tablespoons of water and cook, until water has evaporated. When your vegetables are crisp tender remove them from the pan and set aside.

Wipe out the pan. Heat the remaining 2 teaspoons of oil in the pan over high heat.

Place half of the steak in the pan and season generously with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until just cooked through.

&nbsp;Set the first batch of steak aside and repeat the process with the rest of the beef.

Add all of the meat and vegetables back to the pan. Pour the sauce over the top and cook for 2-3 minutes over medium high heat until warmed through.

Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired.

Teriyaki beef stir fry with flank (or skirt) steak, homemade teriyaki sauce, broccoli, onions, and red bell peppers! Easy weeknight dinner for the family!

To make the teriyaki sauce, in a small bowl whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, ginger and garlic. In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch and water and whisk until smooth. Whisk the cornstarch mixture into the tamari mixture, then set aside.

Add ½ tablespoon avocado oil to a wok or large skillet and set over high heat. When the oil is shimmering, add onion and red pepper. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often, until the onion is lightly browned. Add the broccoli and water, then cover pan tightly and steam for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the broccoli is crisp tender.

Using a slotted spoon, remove vegetables from the skillet and set aside. Add remaining oil. Once shimmering, add the steak and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the steak is just cooked through.

Add sauce and reserved vegetables back to the pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly. Serve over white rice.

Teriyaki Stir Fry with Broccoli and Chickpeas

(15 oz) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

White rice or cauliflower rice

tamari, I

maple syrup

arrowroot starch

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil, broccoli and salt. Cook for a minute and then pour in water, cover and let steam until water has cooked off and broccoli is tender, about 7 minutes.

Make the teriyaki sauce while the broccoli is cooking. Add all sauce ingredients to a jar and mix until combined.

Add the chickpeas in with the broccoli and pour the sauce over. Cook until sauce has thickened, 5-7 minutes. Serve stir fry over rice and enjoy.
