Oven Roasted Turkey Tenderloin Recipe

turkey breast tenderloins ((about 1½ pounds))

olive oil

apple cider vinegar

honey

dijon mustard

garlic cloves, crushed

thyme ((or 6 sprigs fresh thyme))

rosemary

In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, vinegar, honey, dijon mustard, garlic, herbs, and seasonings until evenly combined.

Place the turkey in the bowl (or in a gallon-sized Ziplock bag) with the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1 to 8 hours to allow the flavors to infuse with the turkey tenderloins.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (roast or bake setting). Spray roasting pan or shallow casserole dish with cooking oil.

Remove the tenderloins from the marinade and discard the marinade. Add turkey breast tenderloins to the roasting pan or dish. If desired, add a hearty vegetable, like potatoes to the roasting pan with the turkey tenderloin.

Roast in the oven for 30-35 minutes. Turkey tenders are done when a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the tenderloin, registers 165 degrees F. Remove the turkey from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes, before slicing and serving.

Combine ingredients in a small bowl; whisk to combine.

Place turkey in an appropriate-sized container (depending upon whether you are using a breast, tenderloin or whole turkey) and pour marinade over top. Ensure turkey is fully coated.

Scrape any large pieces of herbs and garlic off the marinated turkey so that they won&#039;t burn when cooked.

Rinse turkey with a mixture of water and lemon, and pat dry with a paper towel. Let turkey sit in the roasting pan while you prepare the seasoning.

In a food processor or blender, mix the cilantro, garlic, onion, cumin, oregano, sazón, salt, and lemon juice.

Rub mixture all over your turkey, both outside and inside the turkey cavity.

Stuff the turkey with celery, carrots, and onions. Place some celery, carrot, and onion pieces in the roasting pan around the turkey. This step is optional.

Preheat oven to 430°F. Place turkey in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes.

After the 30 minutes have passed, lower the oven temperature to 350°F and cover the turkey with aluminum foil. Continue to bake until the turkey reaches a temperature of 165°F, about 3 hours for a 12-pound turkey.

Remove from the oven and let rest for at least 15 minutes before carving.
