Easy Vegan Hollandaise Sauce

½ Tbsp vegan butter

Tbsp DIY Gluten-Free Flour Blend ((or unbleached all-purpose flour

almond milk*

water

lemon juice

tsp dijon mustard

tsp sea salt ((plus more to taste))

garlic powder

yeast

Heat vegan butter in a large rimmed skillet over medium heat. Once melted, turn off the heat and whisk in flour until no lumps remain.

Add the almond milk, water, lemon juice, dijon, salt, garlic powder, and nutritional yeast and whisk to combine. Heat over low-medium heat, whisking frequently, until thickened — about 3-5 minutes (keeping in mind it will continue thickening as it cools). Taste and adjust as needed, adding more salt to taste, nutritional yeast for cheesiness and yellow color, lemon juice for brightness, or garlic powder for more savory notes.

Serve warm on roasted asparagus, Vegan &quot;Eggs&quot; Benedict, or traditional Eggs Benedict (if dairy-free, not vegan).

Store any leftover hollandaise sauce covered in the refrigerator for 7-10 days. Reheat in a microwave or small saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.

Experience a fancy brunch at home with these amazing Eggless Benedict with Hollandaise! The sauce is so creamy and delicious that you will want to pour it on everything.

Eggless Benedict with Hollandaise

soft tofu

mustard

avocado (thinly sliced (optional))

Place the soft tofu, mustard, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, almond milk, oil, soy sauce, paprika, and turmeric in a blender. Blend until smooth.

In a saucepan over low heat, warm the hollandaise sauce.

To assemble: On each half of muffin or toast, place a slice of tomato and a few slices of avocado. Drizzle the warmed hollandaise sauce on top and sprinkle the sauce with a bit of pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper.

Vegan Hollandaise Sauce

oz firm tofu (drained)

water (see notes)

tbsp tamari or soy sauce

tbsp tahini

Dijon mustard

turmeric powder (see notes)

tsp Kala Namak salt (optional, see notes)

Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.

Cook the sauce in a saucepan over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes or until it's hot, stirring occasionally.

Serve immediately. Use it to make vegan eggs Benedict or enjoy with any food you like (it's also delicious with grilled veggies).

Keep leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for 4-5 days. If the sauce thickens, add more water, stir and then reheat it until you get the consistency you're looking for.

English muffins ((sub with bread of choice))

To prep, boil water in a small pot and remove from heat. Add cashews and cover for 15-20 minutes. Drain and rinse the cashews and discard soaking water. Place them in a high-powered blender along with the soy milk, lemon juice, tabasco, paprika, garlic, onion, sea salt, and black salt. Blend on high until very smooth. Taste for seasoning and add more as needed. If it&#x27;s too thick for your taste, add a few splashes of milk or water.

At this point, you can set the sauce aside until ready to use or gently warm in a small pot on med-low heat. Watch carefully and stir often to prevent burning.

Hollandaise Sauce

Place the tofu on its side and cut into four 1/4 - 1/2-inch slices. Cut each slice into a circle using a glass or cookie cutter (you can save the scraps for tofu crumbles). You can also cut the tofu into squares instead - just make sure it fits the muffins or bread you&#x27;ve chosen.

Sprinkle the tofu with garlic, onion, salt, and pepper on each side.

Heat up a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Now add the oil and wait until it&#x27;s heated and shimmers. Now add the tofu slices, leaving space in between each one. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly golden and crispy.

Tofu Eggs

If preferred, you can lightly pan-fry the vegan ham or just leave it as is. Lightly toast the English muffins and spread with butter if preferred. Top a slice of tomato on the muffin, then ham, then the tofu egg. Now pour the hollandaise sauce on top and garnish with preferred greens. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

To Assemble

Quick, easy, delicious vegan hollandaise sauce for all your brunch needs! Tangy and velvety smooth. No cashews and no tofu required.

mayonnaise (I use Hellmann's)

g vegan butter (I use Flora Plant)

tsp white wine vinegar

cayenne pepper

tsp kala namak

Place a small saucepan over a high heat and add an inch of water. Bring to the boil and then reduce the heat to low.

In a small bowl, whisk together the plant milk and the cornstarch. Set aside.

Place the vegan mayonnaise and vegan butter in a heatproof bowl and sit it on top of the saucepan of simmering water. Whisk until the vegan butter is melted and the mixture is smooth.

Add the plant milk/cornstarch mixture and continue whisking until the mixture has thickened to a smooth, glossy sauce. Don&#39;t worry if the mixture appears to split, just keep whisking and the mixture will thicken.

Once the sauce has thickened, whisk in the remaining ingredients until smooth. Remove the bowl from the saucepan and serve warm.

Note: Store any extra vegan hollandaise sauce in a jar in the fridge. When you&#39;re ready to reheat the sauce, spoon it into a heatproof bowl and place over a pan of simmering water again. Whisk until smooth.
