This simple pasta salad is perfect for lunch or as a barbecue side dish. To make it vegan, omit the feta.

Easy pasta salad

pasta,

½ unwaxed lemon, finely grated zest and juice

¼ red onion, finely chopped

This chunky Greek salad recipe is quick to make and packed with protein. The wholemeal pitta makes a high-fibre accompaniement.

This juicy beetroot burger is topped with hummus and avocado with a halloumi and sweet potato salad. But the burgers are great on their own for a healthy dinner, too.

Muhammara is a vibrant Levantine dip that's sweet, nutty and tangy. it's really quick to whip up with roasted peppers from a jar, but tastes absolutely amazing if you roast fresh peppers on a barbecue or even a gas hob. Serve as part of a mezze with bread or as a sauce for kebabs, grilled meats and fish. Best eaten at room temperature.
