How to Cook a Wagyu Steak

 Rest your Wagyu steak at room temperature 30 minutes to an hour before cooking.

Generously salt steak with Kosher salt on both sides. 

Take your cast iron pan or stainless steel skillet and put it on the stove at medium heat. Allow the pan to get hot.

Rub the fat cap around the steak on the entire inside of the pan. The fat will begin to melt and &quot;grease&quot; the pan to prevent the steak from sticking.

Place the steak on the hot cast iron or stainless steel pan and cook for about a minute and half.

Flip the steak and cook until the internal temperature reaches about 120 to 125 degrees for rare or 130 to 135 degrees for medium rare.

Rest 5 to 10 minutes then slice into strips.

Divide burger into 2 to 4 wagyu burger patties (depending on how large you want your burgers).

Heat skillet or grill to medium-high heat.

Place each wagyu burger into the skillet. Season with a sprinkle of salt.

Do not move or flip burgers until the bottom forms a caramelized brown crust.

Cook to desired temperature on the first side (timing will depend on size and thickness of your burger).

Flip each wagyu burger and cook to desired temperature on second side (timing will depend on size and thickness of your burger).

Note: FDA recommends cooking ground beef to an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees.

Remove wagyu burgers from skillet or grill and serve with toppings of choice.

Garlic Butter Wagyu Beef

lb American Wagyu Chuck Eye Roll Steak (about 1 inch thick)

Salt

black pepper

vegetable oil

salted butter

garlic (minced)

parsley

Pat steak dry with paper towels. Season the steak with salt and ground black pepper on both sides. Set aside.

Prepare the Garlic Butter by combining salted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a bowl. Combine well and refrigerate before using.

Heat cast-iron skillet on high heat until smoking hot, then add oil. Transfer seasoned steak to skillet and pan-sear one side (do not turn) for 2 minutes. Before flipping to the other side, sear the fatty edge of the steak until brown and aromatic.

Then, turn over the steak and pan-sear the other side for 2 minutes. (Cook 1 to 2 minutes more on each side depending on the thickness of the steak.) Transfer the steak to a serving plate.

Add a dollop of garlic butter on top of the steak and spread it out. Serve immediately.
