Skinny Jalapeño Watermelon Margaritas

Silver Tequila

lime juice (about 1 small lime)

watermelon juice*

slices,

agave nectar

Ice,

sea salt

Add salt to a small plate. Use a lime wedge to wet the rim of the glass; dip the top of the glass in the salt, rolling from side to side until well coated.

Next fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the tequila, lime juice, watermelon juice, jalapeno slices, and agave nectar. Put on the lid and shake for 15-30 seconds; strain the liquid into a glass and garnish with a fresh watermelon wedge. (You can also add a few jalapeno slices to the bottom of the glass, but only if you like it extra spicy!) Taste and add extra sweetener if necessary.

Easy Watermelon Margarita

watermelon (keep fresh if serving on the rocks)

tequila -I prefer white, Espolon or Casamigos

lime juice

ice (add more if watermelon is less frozen to get slushie texture)

salt

limes

tbsp Agave

Cut up your watermelon and freeze it on a baking sheet for at least six hours. If you are making margaritas on the rocks, skip the freezing step.

Add watermelon, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and ice to a blender. Leave out ice if making on the rocks.

Pour into salted rim glass (steps on how to do this above) and serve with lime.

This is awesome. I did not strain mine, I used fresh watermelon, and it hits the spot!

I came upon this recipe and decided to try it as every other similar recipe called for significant amounts of sugar.  This one is The Bomb!  It's perfect just as is!

Refreshing and sweet, this Watermelon Margaritas recipe is the perfect summer cocktail. It is easy to make with only a handful of ingredients.

Watermelon Margaritas

watermelon ((about ¾-pound 675 grams))

lime juice ((4 ounces 120 milliliters))

Place the watermelon cubes in a blender container and blend on high speed until puréed. I like to strain mine through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the pulp, but that is optional. Chill the watermelon juice until ready to use.

Salt the rim of 4 glasses by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it in coarse salt. Fill with ice.

For each cocktail, combine 3 ounces of watermelon juice, 1½ ounces of tequila, 1-ounce of lime juice, and 1 ounce of triple sec in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice.
