Add the ingredients (water, sugar, salt, bread flour, and yeast) to the stand mixer bowl.
Step 2
Knead it for about 12 minutes using the dough hook on setting 2.
Step 3
Once the dough attaches to the hook, it is done.
Step 4
Remove the dough, shape it into a ball, and leave it covered in the bowl for about an hour until it doubles in volume.
Step 5
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it onto a lightly floured surface.
Step 6
Fill a large pot with water. (Water should be at least an inch in depth)
Step 7
Bring it to a rolling boil on a medium-high flame while you work on the dough.
Step 8
Divide the dough into 10 equal parts of about 70 grams each.
Step 9
Make a smooth ball from each piece and place it on a tray.
Step 10
Cover them with a kitchen towel or cling wrap and let them rest for 5 minutes.
Step 11
For each dough ball, poke a hole at the center with your index finger. Make the hole about an inch wide by moving the dough in a circular motion between your fingers and also stretching it outside.
Step 12
Depending on the size of the pot in which you boil water, add 2-3 bagels and boil them on each side for about 1 minute.
Step 13
Remove them carefully using a slotted spoon and place them on a baking sheet.
Step 14
Continue the boiling process for the remaining bagels.
Step 15
Apply some milk with a basting brush and sprinkle some Everything bagels seasoning or sesame seeds.
Step 16
Preheat the air fryer to 390°F for 2-3 minutes or until it prompts you to add food.
Step 17
Place the bagels in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
Step 18
Air fry the bagels at 390°F for about 6 minutes.
Step 19
After 6 minutes flip the bagels with the help of tongs and air fry at 390°F for another 2 minutes.
Step 20
Remove the bagels from the air fryer and place them on a cooling rack until they are completely cooled down.
