Step 1

Preheat your air fryer to around 400 degrees F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.  Pat the pork steaks dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. This will help the seasonings adhere better to the meat. Season the pork loin steaks with salt and pepper.

Step 2

In one bowl, crack the egg and whisk it with a fork. Then, mix the panko bread crumbs, cornflake crumbs, sweet paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder in another bowl. Dredge your pork chop into the egg and then into the seasoning mix.

Step 3

As you coat the pork chops with the seasoning mix, place them on a sprayed tray or air fryer basket (either non-stick cooking spray or olive oil). Use olive oil and spray your coating mix. Otherwise, your coating will dry and have white or brown spots.  Cook the pork steaks in the air fryer for approximately 12-15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. Cooking times may vary depending on the steaks' thickness and your air fryer's specific model. It's important to use a meat or instant-read thermometer to ensure the pork reaches a safe internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) for medium doneness.

Step 4

Once the pork steaks are cooked to your desired level of doneness, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Slice the pork steaks against the grain and serve them hot.
