Export 8 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Preheat your waffle iron.
Step 2
Add all ingredients along with 1 cup chopped apples (reserve 1 cup for later use) into a blender and blend until smooth. Tip: It took about 2 minutes in my blender.
Step 3
Pour batter into a bowl and stir the remaining 1 cup chopped apples into the batter. If the batter looks thick, then stir in 1 to 3 tablespoons of more milk.
Step 4
Add about 1/3 cup batter into each waffle plate and cook according to manufacturers' instructions until deep golden. (I cooked for 6 minutes in my waffle iron).
Step 5
Remove the waffles onto a wire rack and repeat with the remaining batter. Pro tip: Remove the waffles gently! These waffles tend to be softer, due to the high water content in apples and the absence of flour.
Step 6
Serve waffles hot with maple syrup.
