Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2
Add the onions and bell pepper to a small sauté pan with a small amount of vegetable oil. Heat until the onions are almost transparent. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.
Step 3
Add the remaining ingredients to the bowl, except the kielbasa, and adjust the amounts to your taste. Add the kielbasa and stir to combine.
Step 4
Pour the mixture into a baking dish. Bake for an hour or until heated through and the sauce is thick.VARIATION: Substitute 1 pound of ground beef for the kielbasa. Cook the onions and peppers with the ground beef. Drain before adding to the bean mixture.
