Step 1
When ready to cook, set the temperature to 180℉ and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes. For optimal flavor, use Super Smoke if available.
Step 2
Pat the drumsticks dry with a paper towel. Season generously with Traeger Chicken Rub.
Step 3
Insert the probe into the thickest part of a drumstick, avoiding the bone. Set the drumsticks directly on the grill grates, close the lid, and smoke for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Increase the grill temperature to 350°F and continue cooking for another 30 minutes.
Step 5
While the drumsticks are cooking, combine the Traeger Apricot and Traeger 'Que BBQ sauces and the apple jelly in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then set aside until ready to use.
Step 6
Brush the BBQ sauce over the chicken. Cook for another 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the drumsticks reaches 165°F.
Step 7
Remove the drumsticks from the grill and serve. Enjoy!
