Step 1

Combine and stir to a smooth paste or blend in the electric blender: 2 cups soft shredded sharp cheese, 1/2 teaspoon salt, a few grains cayenne, 1 teaspoon prepared mustard, 3 tablespoons cream or 1 to 2 tablespoons soft butter.

Step 2

Cut the crusts from: thin slices of white bread.

Step 3

Spread and roll the slices. Toast in a 350° oven or under a broiler until crisp.

Step 4

Serve the rolls very hot.
