Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Split the dough into 8 rolls and place them on the counter, cinnamon side-up. Let them rest for 10 minutes. Place the icing in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover and refrigerate it.
Step 2
Meanwhile, combine the flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or fork, until the mixture is crumbly. Mix in the pecans. Set it aside.
Step 3
Flatten the cinnamon rolls until they’re about 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Place one roll in the center of an ungreased 9-inch pie plate. Surround the center roll with the remaining 7 rolls. Press the rolls into the bottom and sides of the pie plate, ensuring there are no gaps in between. Bake for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Spoon the apple pie filling into the crust. Sprinkle the butter pecan streusel evenly on top. Bake it for 20 to 23 minutes, or until the crust edges are golden brown. Allow the pie to cool completely, for about 1 hour.
Step 5
Microwave the icing on high for 10 to 15 seconds, or until thin enough for drizzling. Drizzle it over the cooled pie. Serve it and enjoy!
