Step 1
Get a package of mugicha tea bags.
Step 2
In a measuring cup, place one tea bag and add the boiling water. Let it steep for 2 minutes. Quickly hydrating and steaming the dry tea with boiling water helps release the flavor of the barley.
Step 3
Pour the concentrated tea and the tea bag into a large pitcher.
Step 4
Add 1 QT (1 L) of water per tea bag and let it steep for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Step 5
Discard the tea bag and it's ready to serve.
Step 6
Serve the mugicha over ice cubes in individual glass cups.
Step 7
You can store mugicha for up to 2-3 days in the refrigerator.
