Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175°C).
Step 2
Add the butter cubes to a 13 x 9-inch baking dish and place it in the oven for approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
Step 3
While the butter is warming, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Add the milk and vanilla, and gently stir until everything is combined into a smooth batter.
Step 4
Remove the baking dish when the butter is completely melted. Then, slowly pour the batter over the butter.
Step 5
Sprinkle the pecans, brown sugar, and toffee bits. over the batter, then carefully pour the boiling water over the top of the dish. Don’t stir the mixture.
Step 6
Bake the uncovered dish for approximately 30 to 35 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown. Note: It may still be slightly runny at this stage.
Step 7
Remove the cobbler from the oven and leave it on a cooling rack for 30 minutes to thicken.
Step 8
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel sauce. Enjoy!
