Green Salad with Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette

Place jam in a medium bowl and whisk in vinegar then extra-virgin olive oil. Season the dressing with salt and pepper. Add the strawberries and greens to bowl and toss to coat evenly in dressing.

I looked and looked for a perfect vinaigrette for a strawberry salad and remembered how tasty Rachel’s recipe was for another really yummy recipe of hers that I LOVE!  The Tangy Maple Dressing for her pecan crusted chicken tenders is incredibly easy and incredibly delicious JUST like this strawberry vinaigrette! Rachel will definitely be my GO TO for any future searches of dressings or vinaigrette’s. Sooooo easy and sooooo much more delicious than anything store bought. You will not be disappointed! 

Delicious! Added 1/2 teaspoon of mustard to the salad dressing for a little bit more of a "Vinaigrette" taste 

Simply delicious just the way it is, I wouldn't change a thing!

So simple, and just so delicious!  Had a beautiful, fancy salad in minutes!  I didn't have strawberry jam, so I simply cut up 4-5 strawberries &amp; "soaked" them in ~1 1/2 TB of sugar + ~1 TB water for about 3 minutes, then mushed them to make a quick, impromptu strawberry jam.  This is a great recipe!  Hubby, teen child + 6 yr old and I loved this!

I used this recipe as a base and added a couple other ingredients that sent it over the top.  First, I felt the dressing as written needed more acidity, so I added an extra tablespoon of the balsamic vinegar.  Then I added raw sliced almonds (not candied or sweetened), and a generous handful of crumbled blue cheese.  My whole family loved it, including my veggie-picky husband!  Huge hit!

This is a tasty salad and it was easy to make.  Everyone enjoyed it.  I used the suggestions to add candied walnuts and it was absolutely the star of the dish!  Those little nuts were addictive.  If you're going to make this salad, take that extra step.  You'll thank me later!

This was yummy.  I have made it twice.  The first time was a bit sweet for me.  The second time I used less oil, more vinegar and less jam.  It was delish!  I'd just adjust to your taste as you mix the dressing.
