Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat the butter, vegetable oil, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. This should take about 3-4 minutes.

Gradually add the honey, mixing well. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture in three parts, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.

Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
Step 8
Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 9
Add the honey and vanilla extract, beating until combined.

Add heavy cream, one tablespoon at a time, until the frosting reaches your desired consistency.
