Step 1
Preheat the oven to 300°F. Using the illustration above, cut the short ribs into two halves and place them in a 13-by-9-inch baking dish. Salt and pepper them to taste.
Step 3
Add vinegar, spicy pepper sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and thyme to a small container and shake to combine. Mix thoroughly with a whisk or shaker. Toss the ribs in the sauce, using your hands to distribute the sauce throughout the meat evenly.
Step 5
Double-wrap the pan in aluminum foil to keep it safe from the elements. Bake the ribs for 2.5 hours or until they are tender and cooked thoroughly.
Step 7
Remove the foil off the package (careful - hot steam will escape). For 30 minutes after basting with the braising liquid, bake the short ribs.
Step 9
Braising liquid should be served alongside. Each plate should have a tiny bowl of braising liquid on it. Customers can dip their meat in a delicious liquid.
