Step 1
In a large pot, salt water generously (about ¼ cup of salt per gallon of water). Bring to a boil.
Step 2
Add live lobsters to boiling water. Cook for about 10-12 minutes for a 1.5 pound lobster, adding 2-3 minutes per additional pound. A little tip we picked up, try plucking off one of the antennas. If the lobster is done, it should come off easily. If it doesn't keep cooking a minute or two.
Step 3
Serve with melted butter, preferably clarified.
