Step 1

Boil pasta according to package instructions and drain.

Step 2

While the pasta is cooking, brown beef and onion over medium high heat until beef is no longer pink. Drain excess grease if necessary.

Step 3

Season meat with salt, garlic powder, black pepper, oregano and red pepper flakes.

Step 4

Stir in pasta sauce and ricotta cheese and bring to simmer. Add pasta and combine thoroughly.

Step 5

Top with reserved ricotta cheese (if desired) and serve with grated parmesan cheese.
