Step 1

Combine sugar, water, and cornstarch in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. The mixture should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.

Step 2

Reduce the heat to low and add the jello. Stir until completely dissolved and the mixture has turned from cloudy to transparent. Set aside to cool.

Step 3

Arrange the strawberries in the pie shell and pour the jello mixture in. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Top with whipped cream, if desired. Enjoy!
