Step 1
Place the wings into a bowl and toss with soy sauce, garlic and ginger. Marinate for 2 hours.
Step 2
To prepare sauce, add all ingredients into a saucepan and whisk to blend and dissolve cornstarch.
Step 3
Place over medium heat and bring to simmer, whisking occasionally, until glossy.
Step 4
Remove from heat and allow to slightly cool before tossing wings into sauce.
Step 5
To bake chicken wings, preheat the oven to 450 degrees and line a baking sheet with foil. Place chicken pieces onto center/lower rack and bake for 28 minutes. After 28 minutes, turn the broiler on high for 2 minutes until crispy.
Step 6
To finish, toss the wings in the spicy orange chicken sauce to coat and place onto a serving platter. Sprinkle over sesame seeds and scallions. Serve hot.
