Export 4 ingredients for grocery delivery
Step 1
Start by cutting the potatoes into bite sized pieces.
Step 2
Place in either an 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 microwave safe dish. (I used a 11 x 7)
Step 3
On top of the potatoes, dollop 4 tablespoons of soft butter or margarine in random places. Add 1 tsp of salt and ½ tsp of pepper to the top of the potatoes and cover the entire dish with plastic wrap.
Step 4
Place the dish in the microwave and cook on high for 6 minutes. At the end of 6 minutes remove the dish from the microwave and uncover partially. Stir the potatoes and recover. Place back in the microwave for another 6 minutes. Your potatoes should be soft to the fork. If not, replace in the microwave 2 minutes at a time until the potatoes are to your preference.
Step 5
Once finished you can spoon the potatoes as a side or main dish by adding your baked potato toppings.
