½ Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Peel and slice your potatoes into chips. Load the potatoes into a bowl, cover with cold water and fridge for 15 minutes.

Drain the potatoes, add seasoning and extra virgin olive oil and mix with your hands until nicely coated.

Load the fries into the air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes at 160c/320f.

When it beeps shake the chips and make sure a fork goes through a chip and they are not underdone.

Cook for a further 5 minutes at 200c/400f or until they are perfectly crispy.

These crispy Shoestring French Fries are so good and delicious. They are a healthier alternative to the traditional French fries. These seasoned fries are flavored to perfection and complete any burger or meal! 

Air Fryer Shoestring Fries

lb. shoestring French fries

kosher salt

black pepper

In a large bowl, add the potatoes. Then add the salt, pepper, and paprika, along with the vegetable oil.

Toss to combine. Transfer to the air fryer basket.

Cook on 400 degrees for 18 minutes; tossing and turning the fries a couple times in between cooking to make sure the fries are cooked evenly. Do not cook no more than 20 minutes to avoid over-cooking.  Serve warm with your favorite burger and dip or ketchup!

Air Fryer French Fries

Preheat the air fryer 380°F.

Cut the potato lengthwise into 1/4 inch thin slices; then cut each slice into 1/4 inch fries. (A mandolin is helpful here).

In a  medium bowl toss the potatoes and oil. Season with salt, garlic powder and black pepper to taste; toss to coat.

Place the potatoes in the basket in an even layer without overlapping or crowding, cook the potatoes 12 to 15 minutes, turning halfway until crisp.

Note: If you have a Cuisinart Toaster Style Fryer, cook 350F 12 minutes.

Nacho Fries seasoned with chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and Parmesan cheese are cooked to crispy perfection in the air fryer.

russet potatoes (6 ounces each washed and dried)

Meanwhile, in a large bowl combine chili powder, garlic powder, paprika and salt; mix in Parmesan cheese and mix well.

When the fries are done, add to the bowl and toss to coat.

Return back to the air fryer and cook 1 minute more.

Here&#039;s how to make Air Fryer French Fries in just 15 minutes! They turn out perfectly crispy every time, using less oil than the deep-fried variety.

Preheat the air fryer to 375ºF, then slice the potatoes into french fry shapes, about 1/4-inch thick. Place the raw potato slices in a bowl of warm water and let them rest for 10 minutes.

Drain the potatoes, pat dry, and place them in a large bowl. Drizzle them with the olive oil, then season with the salt and garlic powder. Toss well to coat the potatoes.

Arrange the seasoned potato slices on the bottom of your air fryer basket, in a single layer, if possible. (I have to do this in 2 batches with my basket-style air fryer.) The more separated the potatoes, the crispier they will be.

Cook the fries at 375ºF for 10 minutes, then shake the basket to help them cook evenly. Return the basket to the air fryer to cook for 5 more minutes, or until the fries are golden and crisp.

Serve warm right away, as the fries will get softer as they cool. If you ever need to reheat the fries, most air fryers have a 4-minute &quot;reheat&quot; button that will help them crisp up again!

So perfectly crispy and flavored just right with old bay seasoning,  these homemade fries are baked in the oven or made in the air fryer and served with my easy to freeze cheese sauce...so you can make them whenever the mood strikes!

Small Russet Potatoes

Old Bay Seasoning

Avocado or Olive Oil

Salt

Tbsp vegan butter

almond milk

white cheddar cheese or Monterey jack

Wash and peel potatoes, then dry so they are easier to handle.  

Slice each potato in half the long way, lay the cut side flat on the cutting surface and cut into 1/2-inch to 1/4-inch slices. Stack these slices and cut them into the same width sticks to make french fries. Repeat with the remaining potatoes.

Put the cut potatoes in a large bowl and cover with cool water. Soak for at least 20 minutes or up to an hour. This step gets rid of excess starch, resulting in fluffier and crispier fries. Alternatively, you can place fries in a pot. Cover with cold water and add about 1 tsp salt. Bring the potatoes to a boil for 5 minutes. Drain the water.  If I am short on time, I skip these steps and the fries are just a little less crispy.  No big deal. 

Drain and dry potatoes really well. Sometimes I use a salad spinner, but I always use thick paper towels or clean kitchen towels and really wipe them down.  A dry fry is a crispy fry!

Place fries on a parchment lined baking sheet or in the basket of your air fryer. Instead of coating my fries with olive oil, I prefer to use an olive oil sprayer so the oil doesn’t weigh the fries down. Spray fries well with olive oil spray, then season fries liberally with salt &#8211; I like a fine salt because it sticks better.  

Air Fryer: Cook in small batches on 390/400 for 14-16 minutes, flipping or or shaking them halfway through. 

Oven:  bake on 450 for 20 minutes, then flip and finish cooking for about 10 minutes. 

After fries are finished cooking, immediately toss with old bay seasoning and additional salt (if desired).  Start with a little of the seasoning, then add more as you wish. You can also add the seasoning before cooking, but I like to do it after as my kids aren’t fans (yet, lol!) and I can control the level of seasoning better. 

In your skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sprinkle in the flour and whisk together.

Slowly whisk in 1 1/2 cups of almond milk, and continue to whisk until the mixture comes to a boil and begins to thicken. Once thickened, remove sauce from heat and stir in cheese until fully melted, adding salt to taste. If you need to thin it out, add in some additional milk in 1/4 cup increments.

You can sprinkle some old bay into your cheese sauce if you want!

Air fried french fries are the healthier alternative to the traditional fries, they use a lot less oil and are cooked in 20 minutes. No matter which air fryer brand you use, this recipe is perfect.

Air Fried French Fries

2½ tbsp Avocado Oil (20 milliliters)

Step 1

Thoroughly wash potatoes. Cut into desired french fry size and place into a cold bowl of water (for at least whilst chopping) See notes*. Drain potatoes, dry thoroughly and use a paper towel to stamped out any extra moisture once the potatoes have been cut up. See video.

Step 2

Evenly coat uncooked french fries in avocado oil using your hands to mix through. Place in a singular layer in your air fryer tray and cook for 10 minutes on high. Turn over and cook further 10 minutes. 

Step 3

Serve in a bowl and add salt as required and serve immediately.

These Air Fryer Frozen French Fries come out exactly like your favorite fast food fries! They are crispy, golden on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. So much better than frying or baking!

Cut: To cut traditional fries, cut your sweet potato lengthwise into thin planks, and cut each plank into strips. To cut sweet potato wedges, cut your sweet potato in half lengthwise. Cut in half lengthwise again, then cut each of those halves in half again. (Each potato should make 8 wedges, though you can cut them down smaller if your sweet potato is large).

Soak: Soak fries in cold water for 30 to 60 minutes (or as long as 8 hours) before air frying*.

Dry: Drain and pat dry sweet potato wedges. Add to a bowl, then drizzle with vegetable oil (about 1 teaspoon per potato) and a pinch of salt, tossing to coat.

Air Fry: Add fries to your air fryer, spread out in as single of a layer as possible. Cook at 390°F (200°C) for 15 to 20 minutes, shaking every few minutes to evenly cook.

Lightly spray your air fryer basket with cooking spray. I prefer using olive oil spray. You don&#x27;t need a lot, just a light layer.

Fill basket with french fries. Don&#x27;t overcrowd the basket. First, peel the potatoes and rinse them. Then cut the russet potatoes into Thin fry strips.

Now soak them in a bowl of cold water along with a few tablespoons of table salt for 10-15 minutes. This will allow the salt to draw out the extra starch and moisture from the potatoes for crispier fries.

Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Place the french fries inside the air fryer tray and cook for 15 minutes at 400°F. Every 5 minutes, open the air fryer and toss fries.

Season and Serve
