Good tasty recipe. A bit dry for my own taste: will add more wine when combining 😁. As others have commented a touch of vegetables would really give it a humph: my choice would be cut green asparagus.

This is very yummy! I accidentally poured some red wine, instead of white wine in the pan (and then a little rose as I found I didn't have white)...but it was still delicious! I omitted the red pepper flakes on account of my elderly mother who can't stand a speck of heat, otherwise I would have tried that as well. I would definitely make this again. Thanks for sharing!

this was delicious! I used a whole pound of pasta and it still came out great, and I added a little pasta water to the sauce! fantastic and so easy!

Easy to make, but did anyone have trouble with the cheese clumping? I couldn’t get it to smooth out even by adding extra butter or oil.

Simple and easy to make.  I enjoyed it and was surprised that it was not too high in the calorie department.  My only recommendation is using unsalted butter.  It gives you more control of your seasoning and flavor profile.

Used half of all ingredients because it's just the two of us, seasoned the chicken with Old Bay instead of plain salt and pepper, never bothered to wipe the pan or drain the bacon (which we don't like crispy), and it's tangy and awesome!

c. Grated Gruyère

Bring an 8-quart stock pot of water to a boil and generously season with salt. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and combine with half-and-half. Bring to a low simmer, add all of the cheese and season with pepper. Reduce heat to low and mix until well incorporated.

Drain pasta and gently fold in half the pasta using tongs to coat all strands. Add parsley and balance of pasta. If sauce is too thick, add a spoonful of pasta water at a time until you reach desired consistency. Serve immediately.

Angel Hair pasta

tsp crushed garlic

(28 ounces) crushed tomatoes

TBS dried Italian seasoning

white wine

Grated cheese (for garnish)

Cook the pasta al dente in a pot of boiling water according to package directions. It should be slightly undercooked. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain pasta when done.

In a large frying pan, heat the oil on medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for two minutes.

Add the tomatoes, seasoning and wine. Bring to a simmer and cover. Cook for 15 minutes or until sauce is very thick while stirring well. Add salt and red pepper to taste.

Add the half and half to the pan and cook until bubbly. Stir well.

Add the pasta and water to the pan. Toss and cook for a few minutes or until sauce is thick and pasta is well coated. ***(See note)

Serve in bowls garnished with basil and cheese.

20 Minute Cherry Tomato and Basil Angel Hair Pasta

Angel Hair Pasta

Tablespoons Olive Oil

Garlic Cloves (large, thinly sliced)

Pounds Cherry or Grape Tomatoes

Cup Basil (loosely packed, roughly chopped)

Cup Granulated Parmesan (plus

Lemon

Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil.

Add in a good handful of salt. Add pasta. Cook al dente or until pasta is slightly undercooked.

Using tongs remove pasta from water into a colander. Reserve cooking liquid.

While pasta is cooking, add garlic and olive oil to a very large skillet and stir to keep from sticking.

Turn the medium heat and cook until garlic becomes soft, about two minutes.

Turn the heat to a medium-high and add tomatoes and salt to the pan. Cook two minutes.

Add 1/2 cup of starchy cooking liquid leftover from pasta. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce to a simmer for five minutes — the tomatoes should be starting to burst. If they haven’t gently push on them using the back of a wooden spoon. You only want about half to burst.

Add pasta, cook another two minutes.

Turn the heat off, add basil and parmesan cheese.

Toss to coat.

If needed add more starchy pasta water.

Season to taste with salt and pepper and a squeeze of lemon.

Serve with extra grated parmesan cheese.

Oh my goodness!   I just made this tonight, and it will now be a regular for us.   It was so delicious!!  I have been looking for a very simple tomato, basil, pasta dish with plenty of flavor, but not a lot of calories/heavy cream.   I substituted my garden roma tomatoes for the cherry ones.  I also added some spinach and mushrooms for extra veggies.  We just couldn't believe how simple yet incredibly delicious it was!   Thank you.
