A variety of meats, cheeses, breads, and olives on a plate, perfect to serve to guests on wine night!

Antipasto Platter

bocconcini

Combine bocconcini, olive oil, and seasonings. Marinate at least 2 hours or overnight. Discard garlic before serving.

Select two kinds of cheese and two types of meat from the list above along with 5-6 other items. When selecting items, be mindful of adding different colors, textures and flavors.

Line a tray with large lettuce leaves or kale if desired. Arrange all ingredients on a large tray or serving platter using small bowls for items in liquids.

Add sprigs of fresh herbs for garnish. Serve with crostini or breadsticks.

A classic Italian antipasto platter is a must-make for our holiday gatherings - the wide range of colors, textures, and flavors are a gorgeous centerpiece, and there&#x27;s always a little something for everyone in attendance to enjoy. Threading the antipasto onto skewers creates the perfect vehicle for dipping into the intensely flavored and umami-packed anchovy vinaigrette. 

Italian Antipasto Platter with Anchovy Vinaigrette

artichoke hearts

green olives (about 6 ounces)

black olives (about 6 ounces)

oz bocconcini mozzarella balls

oz salami (sliced)

c pepperoncini peppers (about

basil leaves

rosemary (optional)

tbsp red wine vinegar

tbsp extra virgin olive oil

anchovy

garlic (smashed then minced)

tsp italian seasoning

black pepper

Thread all ingredients except rosemary sprigs randomly onto 4” skewers.

Arrange the skewers onto a 12” round platter.

Tuck the rosemary sprigs around the skewers for a festive touch (optional).

Make the anchovy vinaigrette. Place all ingredients into the bowl of a food processor. Flip the switch to continuous and blend until the anchovies and garlic are pulverized and the dressing is smooth. Taste for seasoning and add salt if needed.

Drizzle the skewers with vinaigrette just before serving, then serve the remainder as a dipping sauce.

Select a large platter and a large wooden board for it to rest on. The platter will have the meats, cheeses, and vegetables, and the board will hold the crackers around the platter.

Prepare the marinated mozzarella by tossing all the ingredients in a bowl, and let it sit while you begin arranging the other ingredients.

Place 3 meats on different sections of the platter, making sure to fan out the slices of salami or prosciutto.

Begin filling in with groups of vegetables. Since the olives are so small, I like to put those in a bowl, but otherwise I place groups of items like artichokes or cherry peppers in heaps on the platter.

Cut the cheeses into bite-sized wedges or cubes, if necessary. Place on the platter in groups, along with the marinated mozzarella.

Once the platter is filled, place it on the wooden board, then arrange the breadsticks and crackers all around it. Serve and enjoy!

First, choose a board that you're going to put everything on.  It doesn't have to be fancy!  We often will use a large sheet pan.

Next, gather your ingredients. We try to always include meats, cheeses, fruits, and breads.

Then, make sure everything is bite size and easy to eat without utensils. Cut larger items up into smaller pieces.

Finally, arrange everything on your board. Remember to put the wet items in small bowls or jars to avoid dripping and muddling flavors.
