These slow cooker green beans are super easy to make and are packed with delicious flavors from bacon, onion and brown sugar!

Slow Cooker Southern Green Beans

Canadian bacon (diced (or you can use 5 slices of regular bacon, diced))

French-style green beans

butter (5 tablespoons total)

brown sugar

garlic salt

soy sauce

Worcestershire sauce

In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add bacon and onion to the skillet and sautee until onion is tender and bacon is starting to brown.

Transfer bacon and onion to a 6-quart slow cooker. Add frozen green beans to the slow cooker.

In a small bowl, whisk together ¼ cup melted butter, brown sugar, garlic salt, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over green beans.

Toss to coat the green bean mixture with the sauce.

Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or on HIGH for 1-2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place the bacon on a sheet pan and bake for 7 minutes. Remove the bacon from the oven.

&nbsp;Trim the ends of the green beans. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.

Place the green beans in the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes until just tender. Drain and put the green beans in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.

Pat the green beans dry. In a small bowl mix together the garlic salt, butter, brown sugar and pepper. Pour the butter mixture over the green beans and toss to coat.

Wrap 8-10 green beans with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.&nbsp; Place the green bean bundles on a sheet pan coated with cooking spray.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until bacon is crispy. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes. Drain under cold running water for a minute and set aside.

Add bacon to a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat until browned on both sides and crisp, about 3-4 minutes. Leave the bacon fat in the skillet and transfer the bacon onto a plate.

In the same pan, add onion and garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Stir in the blanched green beans and cook until warmed through, about 1-2 minutes. Stir well to coat.

Return the bacon to the skillet and add balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine and cook for one more minute. Serve immediately.

Add pecans, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 1/4 tsp salt and 1 tbsp water to your in a large skillet.

Cook over medium heat until sugar is melted and nuts are toasted. Transfer to a plate to cool.

Cut your bacon into half inch pieces.

In the same skillet cook bacon until crisp over medium high heat. Remove bacon using a slotted spoon and transfer to a plate lined with paper towel. Leave bacon grease in pan and set aside.

Snip the ends of your green beans.

Blanch beans in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain.

Add blanched green beans to pan and cook in bacon grease about 5 minutes until softened.

Toss in remaining brown sugar, salt and pepper, and gently toss until sugar is dissolved and beans are coated.

Add in nuts and bacon, warm thru and coat with glaze.

Transfer to a serving platter. Serve immediately.

20-Minute Green Beans with Bacon and Garlic

lb green beans (ends trimmed)

garlic (minced)

tsp black pepper

sea or kosher salt (to taste, if needed)

Heat a 12” skillet over medium high heat. Add bacon and cook until crisp, 6-7 minutes. Remove bacon using a slotted spoon and set aside. Pour all but 2 tbsp bacon from the pan.

Rinse the trimmed green beans in a colander. Shake to release most of the moisture, but don&#x27;t dry completely.

Return the pan to medium high heat; wait about 30 seconds for the bacon grease to heat up again. Add the green beans and toss to coat in the fat. Cover and saute the green beans, stirring occasionally, until charred and just about bite tender, about 6 minutes.

Add garlic and saute, stirring frequently, for 1 minute. Return the bacon to the skillet and saute, stirring frequently, for a further minute.

Remove from heat. Add the cracked black pepper and toss. Taste for seasoning and add salt if needed.

Green beans, mushrooms and onions are cooked in ranch butter and topped with french fried onions and bacon.

In a large pan over medium heat melt 1 tablespoon of butter.

Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes or until onion is translucent. Add the mushrooms and cook for 5 more minutes or until mushrooms have started to brown. Season vegetables with salt and pepper to taste. Remove the mushrooms and onion from pan and set aside.

Place the green beans in the pan with 1/4 cup water. Turn up the heat to medium-high. Cook, stirring ocasionally, until green beans are crisp tender and water has evaporated, about 5 minutes. Season green beans with salt and pepper to taste.

Put the onions and mushrooms back in the pan. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter and 2 teaspoons of ranch powder. Taste and add more ranch powder until you get to desired flavor level.
