Pork Tenderloin with Honey Garlic Sauce

pork tenderloin ((pork fillet), 500 grams/1lb each (Note 1))

olive oil ((or butter))

garlic (, very finely chopped)

garlic powder

paprika

tsp salt

tsp black pepper

tbsp cider vinegar ((Note 2))

tbsp soy sauce, light or all purpose ((Note 2))

honey ((or maple syrup))

Preheat oven to 180C/350F.

Mix Sauce ingredients together.

Mix Rub ingredients then sprinkle over the pork.

Heat oil in a large oven proof skillet (Note 3) over high heat. Add pork and sear until golden all over.

When pork is almost seared, push to the side, add garlic and cook until golden.

Pour sauce in. Turn pork once, then immediately transfer to the oven.

Roast 15 - 18 minutes or until the internal temperature is 68C / 155F (Note 4).

Remove pork onto plate, cover loosely with foil and rest 5 minutes.

Place skillet with sauce on stove over medium high heat, simmer rapidly for 3 minutes until liquid reduces down to thin syrup.

Remove from stove, put pork in and turn to coat in sauce.

Cut pork into thick slices and serve with sauce!

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Dry the pork tenderloins well with paper towels.

Mix the paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper together in a small bowl. Rub this spice mix over all sides of the pork.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the pork, working in 2 batches if your pan is not big enough to fit both tenderloins without them touching. Sear the pork on all sides until it is brown, about 6 minutes total. Take the pan off the heat.

Move the pork to a baking dish. Return the pan to the heat and add the beef broth. Scrape the bottom of the pan to remove any stuck on bits (see notes) then boil for 1 minute until it reduces to about ¼ cup. Pour this sauce over the pork.

Pour the apple cider vinegar over the pork then dot the top with the butter. Cover the baking dish with foil.

Bake the pork for 20-25 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees. Let the pork rest for 5 minutes before slicing into 1/4 inch thick rounds. Serve with a little minced parsley, for color.

Delicious! I used about 1T of oil with the potatoes and only 2T in the sauce...1/2 cup is not needed. I added a bit more maple syrup and mustard. I cooked the potatoes for 25 minutes and then added the tenderloin and cooked for another 20 minutes and served it with green beans. Easy, healthy and delicious!

Contradiction in cooking instructions.  I cooked my potatoes for 30 minutes and they were starting to get mushy, therefore I removed them from oven.  Put tenderloin in a roasting pan and cooked for about 30 minutes, which was slightly more than it neede.  I like my pork to be pink in the middle and tender.

Quick, easy and delicious. I used only a 1 lb pork tenderloin. I also used sweet potatoes. All cooked at same time. My husband loved it. I just added a salad. Dinner ready in less than 30 minutes. I cooked it at 400 on regular roast in my Wolf oven. I will definitely make again.

Tried this this evening. Definitely the video is correct. The roast was done much sooner than the potatoes when I cooked as per written instructions. Agree with other comments, a little too much oil for the pork! I can see the potential in this for sure. Just made it. Half the potato were done in an hour and fifteen minutes. Roast barely reached 135 in the center. The only real flavor was garlic. Sounded good but turned out to be pretty sad.

Pan Seared Oven Roasted Pork Tenderloin

Trim the pork tenderloin well. Remove the “silver skin” and any trim-able fat. Preheat over to 375° convection or 400° in a regular oven.

Salt and pepper all sides. I like to use my Homemaked Seasoning 7:2:2 which also has garlic powder.

1-2 teaspoon vegetable oil in an oven-safe pan (cast iron is good here) over medium-high heat until hot.

Sear all sides (3) of the tenderloin for approximately 2 minutes per side. Get close to the final color you want.

Optional. While searing, crush 2 cloves garlic and add to 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add to the tenderloin just before moving it to the oven.

When searing is done, remove from heat and coat with the olive oil/garlic mixture if you are using the garlic. You can add other spicing at this time if you want.

Using a meat thermometer, cook until an internal temp of 140°-150°. About 15-20 minutes.

Tent lightly with foil and rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Place a large cast iron (or other oven-safe) skillet in a cold oven. Preheat the oven (and the skillet) to 450 degrees F.

Remove the pork from the marinade. Pat dry; season liberally with salt and pepper on all sides.

Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven. Add 1-2 teaspoons of vegetable oil to the skillet and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan. Place the pork in the skillet and return to the oven for 10 minutes. Turn the pork over, reduce the oven temperature to 400 degrees F, and continue roasting the pork for about 10-15 more minutes. The pork is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 140-145 degrees F in the thickest part (about 20-25 minutes total).

Allow the pork to rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Meanwhile, prepare the mustard sauce.

ROAST THE PORK:

In a small bowl, stir together the sour cream, mayonnaise, Dijon and rosemary. Serve with sliced pork.

Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 200°C / 390°F (180°C fan). Place a rack over a tray (for resting the cooked meat).

Season pork: Sprinkle the tenderloins all over with salt and pepper.

Sear pork: Heat oil in a large oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat. Sear pork all over until golden. This takes around 5 minutes (I sear 4 sides).

Bake (Note 5): Transfer the skillet with the pork in it to the oven. Bake for 12 - 15 minutes or until an instant read thermometer reads 65°C / 149°F. This will have a blush of pink, a perfect medium for optimum juiciness. (For no pink at all, add 3 minutes cooking and target an internal temperature of 68°C / 155°F.)

Rest: Remove pork from skillet and transfer to the resting rack for 5 minutes.

Creamy Mustard Sauce: Return same skillet to the stove over medium heat. Add cream and both mustards. Mix well, scraping the bottom of the pan to dissolve any golden bits stuck to the base of the pan into the sauce (free flavour!). Once it becomes hot but not simmering, stir in salt, pepper, tarragon and parsley. If the sauce seems too thick, thin with a little water as needed. No need to simmer, the sauce is done!

Serve: Slice into 2 - 2.5cm (0.8 - 2&quot;) slices. Serve with Creamy Mustard Sauce!
