The Pioneer Women's Blackberry Cobbler

sugar (separated)

self-rising flour* see notes for easy homemade version

whole milk (see notes)

butter

blackberries

Vanilla ice cream (for serving)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Combine 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of flour in a large bowl.

Stir in the milk, then the melted butter. Mix until well-combined.

Pour onto the bottom of a greased  9 x 9 inch baking dish.

Distribute the berries throughout the top. (They’ll sink in further as they bake.) If desired, you can sprinkle more berries on top once it&#039;s started to bake and set to keep those closer to the top. About 30 minutes in.

Sprinkle ¼ cup sugar over the top, reserving 2 tablespoons for later.

Bake for 50 minutes, remove from the oven and sprinkle remaining 2 tablespoons sugar on top.

Bake for 10 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

Serve immediately, (with ice cream of course)!

The Pioneer Woman's Blackberry Cobbler

This easy blueberry cobbler recipe is absolutely delicious. It&#039;s the perfect summer dessert . Made with a fresh blueberry filling, a cobbler topping, and then topped with a delicious brown sugar pecan crust.

Blueberry Cobbler Recipe

blueberries

brown sugar

lemon juice

cornstarch

cinnamon

all purpose flour

baking powder

salt

butter,

Preheat oven to 375° and spray  3 quart baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.

Rinse blueberries and place in a large bowl.

Sprinkle sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch and cinnamon over blueberries. Stir gently and let sit for 10 minutes while preparing the flour mixture.

Pour blueberries into prepared baking dish.

Blueberry Filling

In a medium bowl, whisk flour, brown sugar, sugar, baking powder and salt together until combined.

Using a pastry blender, or two forks, mix butter into flour mixture until crumbly.

Pour boiling water into flour mixture. Stir until combined.

Spoon topping mixture over blueberries and gently spread making sure to cover the blueberries completely.

Cobbler Topping

In a small bowl add all the brown sugar pecan crust ingredients. Stir to combine.

Spoon brown sugar pecan mixture evenly over cobbler topping.

Bake for 55 minutes.

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped topping and enjoy.

Brown Sugar Pecan Crust Topping

All you need are six simple ingredients to make this delicious, mouthwatering Blackberry Cobbler! It&#039;s the perfect easy summer treat.

Blackberry Cobbler

sugar ((300 grams))

flour

whole milk ((240 milliliters))

vanilla extract

butter ((120 milliliters))

blackberries (or frozen blackberries (510 grams))

Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 1 cup of sugar, and the flour stir in the whole milk and vanilla. Add the butter and stir until well combined. Spread the batter into the bottom of the greased baking dish.

In a medium mixing bowl, toss the blackberries with the remaining ½ cup of sugar. Scatter the sugared berries over the top of the batter.

Bake for 1 hour or until golden brown and bubbling. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Best served warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
