Preheat the broiler. Coat a sheet pan with cooking spray.

Made this twice so far, terrific, good reviews from family. One suggestion: mix the ingredients in a bowl that can hold all the fillets skin side up and marinate for 10 minutes, before putting fillets in broiler with mixture.

Most broil settings is 500 degrees. Parchment paper is only good to about 425. DON'T USE PARCHMENT PAPER. I can't believe they suggested that. Otherwise, a tasty recipe. Minus points for testing your smoke alarm.

Crispy Skin Salmon 2 Ways: Pan Fried and Broiled

avocado oil

(6 oz.) salmon fillets

fine sea salt

flaky sea salt

lemon or lime wedges (optional)

Heat a medium/large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2-3 tbsp. avocado oil (depending on the size of the pan) and let it get hot until it shimmers and runs around the pan when you swirl it by the handle.

Pat the fillets dry and season the flesh side with the fine sea salt. Add them to the hot pan, skin side down. (Be careful with the hot oil.) Cook for 4-5 minutes, until the skin gets darker and crisp but not burnt.

Use a thin spatula and one other utensil (fork, wooden spoon, etc.) to help flip each fillet. The oil might splatter as the fillets land on the flesh side. Cook for another 4-5 minutes. The flesh should change from a bright pink to a softer pink.

If your fillets are especially deep, you might be able to tell from the sides that they&#x27;re not cooked through yet. To finish them off but avoid overcooking, carefully tip each fillet over onto its side to make sure all surfaces are cooked. Cook the sides as necessary for one minute. A thermometer (probe or instant) inserted in the thickest part of a fillet should read 125°.

Remove the fillets from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes. Sprinkle the skin with flaky sea salt, freshly ground black pepper and a squeeze of lemon or lime, if desired.

For pan-fried salmon:

Heat the broiler to high.

Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with avocado oil spray or spray of choice.

Pat fillets dry and season the flesh side with fine sea salt. Broil skin-side up for 4-5 minutes. The time depends on how close your food is to the broiler. Check at 4 minutes to be safe. The skin will have some darker, bubbly spots and look crisp but shouldn&#x27;t be burnt. If it doesn&#x27;t look much different, continue to broil, checking every 2 minutes.

Flip the fillets and broil flesh-side up for 4-5 minutes. The flesh should change from a bright pink to a softer pink. To a food processor, add all of the salmon patty ingredients(not the oiincluding ¾ teaspoon salt, and a few cracks of pepper. Blend to combine, but keep it just a tad chunky. Chill the salmon mixture in fridge for 30 minutes or up to 4 hours. Pre-heat large non-stick pan just below medium-high heat and wait for it to get hot. Grab enough salmon mixture to form a large golf ball, place in the pan, and press it into a patty using your fingers or a spatula. Add about 4 salmon patties to the pan and allow to cook for about 4 minutes, until deep golden in color. Flip and cook another 3 minutes. Remove salmon patties from pan and repeat with the second batch, adding a bit more oil if needed.

Meanwhile, make the tartar sauce by adding all the ingredients to a bowl, mix well, and check for seasoning. You want the flavors to be bright and tangy, so you may need more lemon juice.

Serve the salmon patties with the tartar sauce and garnish with more chives. Enjoy!

How To Make Juicy Salmon Patties with Tartar Sauce - Keto and Dairy Free

Herb crusted broiled salmon is browned and slightly crispy on the outside, but so tender on the inside! Cooking your salmon at a high heat ensures that it loses minimal moisture while cooking through.

Herb Crusted Broiled Salmon (BEST texture!)

extra virgin olive oil (or avocado oil)

lemon sliced

garlic powder

onion powder

basil

oregano

Position

Adjust top rack- Position the top rack 4-6 inches from the top element of the oven.

Spice rub- In a small bowl, stir together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, basil and oregano.

Prep

Prepare salmon- Brush a sturdy baking sheet with oil, then arrange the salmon, 1-2 inches apart. Brush salmon with olive oil, then sprinkle with seasoning blend. Use a spoon or your fingers to press the spice rub into the salmon firmly.

Broil

Broil- Pre-heat the broiler for 5 minutes, then place the pan into the oven. Broil for 9-12 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork, or until it reaches 125- 140 °F (See note 2).

Herb Crusted Broiled Salmon

Individual salmon fillets are immersed in a flavorful honey-lime marinade and briefly soaked. Then aligned on a baking sheet, sprinkled with spices, and finished under a hot broiler until just cooked and gently charred. It&#39;s flawlessly delicious!

Tbsp lime juice, (plus 2 tsp lime zest (from 2 limes))

Tbsp honey

Tbsp minced garlic ((3 cloves))

tsp black pepper

tsp cumin

tsp coriander

Tbsp chopped cilantro ((optional))

In a small mixing bowl whisk well together light olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, honey, garlic, salt, and pepper.

Place salmon fillets in a gallon size resealable bag* then pour marinade over salmon (be sure marinade is coating all sides of the salmon pieces), press out excess air from the bag and seal.

Let rest at room temperature 20 minutes to 30 minutes (no longer).

Align oven rack in center of oven. Preheat broiler to high heat for about 5 minutes.

Meanwhie line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with vegetable oil cooking spray.

Remove salmon from marinade and align on baking sheet, leaving some space between each piece. Sprinkle tops evenly with cumin and coriander.

Place salmon in oven (check on it frequently throughout broiling). Broil in preheated oven about 4 minutes then if needed tent with foil to prevent excess browning.  Continue to broil about 3 - 6 minutes longer until cooked to desired doneness in center.**

Remove from oven and sprinkle with cilantro and serve. If you want the salmon a little more tart you can serve with lime wedges for spritzing.

Easy Bourbon Glazed Salmon

For the bourbon glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the bourbon, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, Dijon mustard, vinegar, garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon kosher salt. Simmer the mixture, stirring frequently until the sugar has dissolved. Continue to gently simmer the glaze, without stirring, until it has reduced by half, 12 to 15 minutes. Cool for at least 15 minutes before using, to give it a chance to thicken up.

For the salmon: Position a rack in the upper third of the oven and preheat the broiler. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Season the flesh side of each fish fillet with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper (or if they don&#8217;t have skin, sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper on each side). Place them, skin-side down, side by side on the baking sheet. Broil for 4 minutes. Remove the salmon from the oven and, using a pastry brush, brush liberally with some of the bourbon sauce. Return the baking sheet to the broiler for 1 minute. Or, if you fillets are particularly thick, check for doneness, and if necessary, go a little longer.

Brush the fillets again with the bourbon sauce and transfer to a platter. Pour the extra sauce into a serving dish, and serve alongside the salmon for drizzling and dipping. (If you brush the sauce on too soon, the sugars in the glaze could burn, so doing it toward the end of cooking and then once more when the fish is out of the oven works out perfectly.)

Heat grill and line a baking tray with parchment. In a small bowl, mix together mustard, garlic, shallot, thyme, rosemary, and lemon juice and season with salt and pepper. Spread mixture all over salmon fillets and grill, 7 to 8 minutes.

In a small bowl, combine miso, mirin, garlic and ginger.

Pour 1/4 of the marinade in a shallow dish or glass pie plate, place fish flesh-side down, and top with remaining marinade.  Place in refrigerator and allow to marinade at least 6 hours or up to overnight.

Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking. Preheat oven to broil high.

Transfer fish to a sheet pan lined with foil. Discard excess marinade.

Place fish on the second rack from the top and broil 6-7 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

If you wish to serve the fish without the skin, carefully slide a fish spatula between the skin and flesh.

Top with scallions and serve.

Lemon garlic paste - Mix the marinade ingredients in a small bowl. Slather onto the top and sides of the salmon. If time permits, marinade for 1 hour. Otherwise, proceed with recipe.

Preheat oven grill / broiler to 280°C/525°F or as high as yours goes. Place the oven shelf 20 cm /8&quot; from the heat source.
