Chocolate-Covered Cake Balls

Cooking spray

cake mix,

c. (1 1/2 sticks butter), softened

c. sugar

heavy cream

pure vanilla extract

kosher salt

c. white chocolate chips

c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

tbsp. coconut oil, divided

The actual cake balls tasted super good... but there was too much frosting compared to cake, so it took a while for these to harden and the texture wasn't quite right. I recommend decreasing the amount of frosting or increasing the amount of cake by just a little bit. Oh, also I used cake that isn't very sweet, if you use cake that is really sugary then you should only add about 2 cups of powdered sugar to the frosting mix. The way I did it, with bittersweet chocolate to coat it and a not-so-sweet cake balanced it out perfectly. If I had used white chocolate, it would have been too sweet, so pay attention to that. Awesome recipe, ratios could use a bit of review and dessert is on the sweet side.

pay attention to this recipe! I tried making it, and instead of putting the 3c of powdered sugar in the frosting, I put it in the batter. I bet they would’ve tasted great without that mistake.

it came out okay for my first time i will say tho i had way too much frosting left over and bc of that i thought i did something wrong if i put all the frosting in it it would have been soup good thing i stopped in enough to not ruin it but it did end up a lil mushy i know next time what consistincy i want alsoooo if you have to mix everything by hand it take wayyyy more time in total it took me 5 hours..........

How To Make Cake Pops EASILY!!!

Chocolate Cake

Chocolate Frosting (amount depends

Add cake to a large bowl.

Crumble until it resembles fine crumbs

Add in frosting a little bit at a time until cake is moist and can hold a ball shape, yet is still slightly crumbly. (Use your hands to incorporate the frosting into the cake crumbs)

Using a mini ice cream scoop, scoop out two scoop worth of cake mixture.

Roll the mixture into a tight ball and place on a plate.

Repeat until all the cake mixture has been rolled into balls.

Melt 2-4 ounces of white chocolate in the microwave.

Dip the tip of the cake pop sticks into the white chocolate and insert into the cake balls about half-way.

Freeze for about 20 minutes.

Meanwhile prepare all of your decorating supplies.

Melt the remaining chocolate in a large cup. Make sure you have enough chocolate to completely submerge the cake ball.

Remove cake balls from freezer.

Dip cake balls carefully into the chocolate until covered.

Let the excess chocolate drip off. Swirl and tap gently if needed.

Add the sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet. It will harden quickly.

Stick the decorated cake pop into a styrofoam block to finish setting.

Place into the freezer to speed up setting time.

Cover with a clear treat bag &amp; ribbon for gift giving, if desired.

Store in a cool area in a single layer, in an airtight container.

How To Make CAKE POPS ~ Easy Cake Pops Tutorial

Popsicle shaped cake pops that are fun to make for any occasion and won&#x27;t crack, leak, or fall off the stick.

Cakesicles Recipe

frosting, (plus more if desired)

Crumble the cake and blend it together with the frosting.

Add more frosting if desired until the cake ball filling has a nice chocolate truffle style texture.

Cakesicle Filling

Spoon 1 tablespoonful of white chocolate into one popsicle cavity.

Paint it into a thin layer on the bottom and up the sides of the mold.

Immediately insert then remove a popsicle stick into the mold, to remove any white chocolate from that area.

Repeat creating 4 white chocolate shells in your popsicle mold.

Pop the mold into the refrigerator, if using pure white chocolate, and into the freezer if using confectionery coating (Candy Melts).

Chill for 3-5 minutes until the candy hardens.

Scoop out 1 tablespoonful of the cake ball filling and press it into the candy shell, leaving at least 1/16 of an inch of space at the top for the additional layer of chocolate.

Repeat filling all the popsicles.

Spoon about a teaspoon of white chocolate over top and spread it out thin.

Use an offset spatula to scrape off any excess white chocolate.

Repeat covering all the cakesicles.

Chill for about 2 minutes until the candy layer hardens.

Unmold the cakesicles and they are ready to serve.

White Chocolate Shell

Learn how to make perfect delicious cake pops right at home! This easy and fool-proof cake pop recipe is guaranteed to impress everyone at your next party!

How to Make Cake Pops (easy and fool-proof)

box Pillsbury classic white cake mix

tbsp Pillsbury creamy supreme vanilla frosting

1 12 oz Wilton candy melts

tsp Crisco shortening

Bake the cake as instructed on the boxed cake mix and allow it to cool down to room temperature.

Now trim off the outer golden layer because it tends to be too dry to form the cake pop.

In a large bowl, crumble the cake into fine crumbs using your hands. Add 2 tbsp of vanilla frosting and mix with a spoon or your hands.

Shape the cake into balls and place them into the cake pop former. Make sure the cake ball is a little bit bigger than the size of the press. Once the cake ball is pressed tightly, remove the extra cake from the sides and roll the ball with your hands to smooth any imperfections. This step is optional. You can always just round it out with your hands alone.

Insert the sticks - Melt 1/4 cup of candy melts in a small bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals to prevent the candy from overheating.

Dip the tip of each cake pop stick into the melted candy and insert it into the cake ball about halfway through. Place each cake pop onto a baking sheet and transfer to the freezer for about 15- 20 minutes. Don’t keep them there too long or they will become too cold and cause the hot melted candy to crack after you dip them.

Thin out the candy melts before dipping- Meanwhile, melt the rest of the candy in a bowl. Make sure you melt them in 30-second intervals with mixing in between. Once it&#039;s melted well, add 1 1/2 tsp Crisco shortening or melting aid chips (preferably) and mix well with a whisk. Then pour the melted candy into a tall narrow cup.

Dip the cake pops- Now remove the cake balls from the freezer and dip each into the cup and tilt to the sides slowly to make sure the entire cake pop is covered. Then slowly pull up the cake pop. (Don&#039;t swirl the cake pop) Hold the cake pop in one hand and tap your wrist so that all the extra melted candy drips off.

Now decorate the dipped cake pops with sprinkles or nonpareils while the candy coating is still wet. That way the sprinkles adhere well.

Place in a Styrofoam block and let it stand for about an hour. Store at room temperature.

9 inch prepared graham cracker crust

Magic Shell® Chocolate Flavored Topping

8 oz package cream cheese, softened

sugar

peanut butter

milk

8 oz package frozen whipped topping, thawed

peanuts

mini chocolate chocolate chips

peanut butter cups (cut in half and quarters)

Using the back of a spoon, spread magic shell over bottom of graham cracker crust. Use enough to cover the bottom fully (or more if desired).

In large bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until well combined. Mix in peanut butter and milk. Fold in whipped topping. Pour into graham cracker crust and spread evenly.

Refrigerate several hours until firm or freeze for at least two hours. Top with salted peanuts, chopped miniature peanut butter cups and mini chocolate chips once firm or before serving.

Store covered in refrigerator.

Cake Pop Recipe

white chocolate melting wafers (,I prefer Ghiradelli)

salted butter (, softened)

Whip

In a medium bowl, whip the butter. Add in 1 cup of powdered sugar. Mix until combined. Add the vanilla and additional powdered sugar, a little at a time. Add 1 Tablespoon of heavy cream or milk to make the frosting thick and creamy. It should hold a point.

Make Buttercream Frosting

Combine

In a large bowl, crumble the prepared cake into fine crumbs (make sure it has cooled completely before crumbling). Add 2 spoonfuls of buttercream frosting to the cake. Combine with your hands or a spoon. Gradually add more frosting until the cake holds together if squeezed. You don&#039;t want it too crumbly or it won&#039;t hold together.

Scoop

Using a medium cookie scoop, scoop out 1 scoop of cake mixture. Roll into a ball and place onto a plate. Repeat until all the cake mixture has been formed into balls. Freeze balls for about 10 minutes.

Make Cake Pops

Right before they are ready to be taken out of the freezer, melt the dark chocolate and the white chocolate in two separate microwave safe bowls. Begin by heating for 30 seconds and then stirring. Once coated in chocolate, gently tap the stick on the side of the melting dish to let the excess drip off. You can also spin or twirl the cake pop to remove the excess.

Decorate

Before the chocolate starts to harden, add sprinkles, jimmies or other decorations. If decorating with more chocolate, let the chocolate covering harden on the cake pop. Then, using a spoon or fork, drizzle with the additional melted chocolate.

Push the cake pop stick into a styrofoam block or use a glass filled with rice to hold them upright. The chocolate will be set in about an hour. Store for 3-4 days in an airtight container in a cool place.

Learn how to roll and dip cake pops with this easy-to-master cake pop recipe! These eye-catching portable treats are perfect for birthday parties, showers, and more.

Cake Pops

yellow cake mix (Note 1)

eggs

(240 ml) water (or milk)

(120 ml) vegetable oil

cream cheese (Note 2)

(450 g) almond bark (Note 3)

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baker’s half sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil for 2 minutes.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly.

Bake for 15 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Cool the cake completely.

Bake the cake:

Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.

Add the cream cheese and mix it well into the cake crumbs with clean hands. Make sure there’s no dry cake visible.

Make the cake pop mixture:

Divide the cake pops into 1.5-inch balls and arrange them on a lined baking sheet.

Refrigerate for 2 hours, or overnight.

Form the cake balls:

Melt a small amount of almond bark in the microwave.

Dip cake pop sticks into the melted almond bark about ½-inch deep, then insert it into the chilled cake balls. Continue this process until all the cake balls have a stick. Put them back into the fridge.

Melt the remaining almond bark in a 2-cup measuring cup in the microwave until nice and smooth.

Prepare sprinkles in small bowls, if using, to decorate the cake balls.

Bring out about 10 cake balls at a time. Dip each cake ball into the melted almond bark until it’s fully covered, including the base. Gently shake it to let the excess coating drip off. Immediately decorate the top with sprinkles, if desired. And place the cake pops upright into a Styrofoam, or box, or special cake pop stand.

Repeat with the remaining cake balls. Be sure to bring about 10 cake balls out of the refrigerator at a time, or cake balls will fall out of the stick it they warm up at room temperature.

Let the cake pops set for about an hour before packaging.

Coat the cake balls:

The Snickerdoodle Cake Pop, it's all about the sugary goodness that is the marriage of a snickerdoodle and cake. Dip it in chocolate and you've got a Snickerdoodle Cake Pop!

Snickerdoodle Cake Pops

flour

tsp baking powder

tsp salt

cinnamon

butter

tsp vanilla extract

plain Greek yogurt

cinnamon chips

tub vanilla frosting

Preheat oven to 350 and grease a loaf pan

Whisk together flour, powder, salt and cinnamon

In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar together. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well. Beat in the vanilla and yogurt.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir to combine. Gently stir in the cinnamon chips.

Pour batter into greased pan and bake for about 45 minutes (until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.)

For the bread:

8-12 oz. vanilla melting discs (or white chocolate, but it's so finicky so I like the melting discs)

Allow the bread to cool. Remove it from the pan and crumble it up into a bowl. Mix the cake crumbles with about 1/2 tub of vanilla frosting. It's really just about getting the texture right. If it's too dry and crumbly, add more frosting. If it's too sticky, add more bread. When you're satisfied with the consistency, roll them up into balls and stick them into a mini muffin tin or on a cookie sheet.

Melt a small amount of the vanilla discs, dip the end of the sticks in the melted candy, and then press them into the center of each ball. Put the pan with the cake balls/sticks into the freezer for about 10 minutes to harden and chill them.

Melt the rest of the chocolate in a bowl with tall sides. Dip each cake pop in the melted candy until evenly coated. Sprinkle the top with a cinnamon and sugar mixture.

These Cake Pops are the perfect bite-sized desserts that are always a crowdpleaser! They&#039;re so delightful and adorable.

vanilla cake mix ((15.25-ounce))

water

vegetable oil

frosting

candy melts (or chocolate melting wafers)

Preheat the oven to 350F. Butter a 13x9-inch cake pan.

In a large bowl, whisk together cake mix, water, oil, and eggs until combined. Pour into the cake pan.

Bake according to package directions. Cool completely.

Line a small baking sheet or plate with wax or parchment paper.

Crumble cooled cake into a large bowl. Add frosting and stir with a wooden spoon or beat on low speed until mixture resembles wet sand, but is not smooth, about 30 seconds if using an electric mixer. Scoop 1 tablespoon of the cake mixture and roll into 1-inch balls. Place on the lined plate. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or freeze for 30 minutes.

Melt candy or chocolate wafers according to the package instructions and place in a 2-cup liquid measuring cup or tall drinking glass. Pull a few cake balls out, leaving the others in the fridge as you work so they stay cold (keeping them cold helps the coating set quickly). Dip the tip of a lollipop stick in the melted chocolate and insert about halfway into a cake ball. Dip the cake ball into the chocolate making sure to cover the base where the stick and cake ball meet,and turn to coat. Remove and gently tap on the side of the cup to let excess coating drip off.

Decorate with sprinkles if desired. Place upright in a styrofoam block or cardboard box. Let stand until the coating is set. Cake pops should be stored in the fridge for up to 1 week.
