Combine all the chicken tikka ingredients and marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

Skewer the marinated chicken pieces on bamboo skewers, then place them over a baking tray lined with parchment paper, making sure there is space underneath the chicken to help distribute the heat more evenly.

Reserve the chicken tikka marinade for later use.

Bake the chicken skewers for about 15 minutes, until slightly dark brown on the edges and cooked throughout.

Simmer the biryani over a low heat for 10 minutes or until all the water is absorbed and the rice and chicken are heated throughout.

Slice the chicken into bite-sized chunks. Combine the cubed chicken with the yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, salt, cumin, garam masala, and paprika and stir until well-coated.

Stir in the tomato puree, tomato sauce, and 1 ¼ cups of water, then bring to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes. Pour in the cream.

Remove the chicken from the skewers and add to the sauce, cooking for another 1-2 minutes. Garnish with cilantro and serve over rice or alongside naan bread.

Chicken tikka

chicken (boneless & cubed)

gram flour (or besan)

½ cup curd or yogurt (or greek yogurt)

green bell pepper

red bell pepper (or tomatoes (deseeded))

onion

Salt (as needed)

oil (preferably mustard oil)

lemon juice ((or as needed))

ginger garlic paste (or grated)

red chilli powder (or paprika)

pepper powder

kasuri methi (or dried fenugreek leaves (optional))

This recipe needs thick curd or greek yogurt. If using homemade yogurt then follow the notes &amp; strain the whey to get thick yogurt.

Add it to a mixing bowl along with red chilli powder, pepper powder, turmeric, kasuri methi, garam masala &amp; coriander powder.

Next add lemon juice, salt &amp; oil. Mix everything well and taste it. Add more chilli powder, salt or lemon if needed to adjust the taste.

Add the cubed chicken to the marinade. Marinate the chicken for at least an hour to 12 hours. Longer the chicken rests more flavorful &amp; succulent it will turn out.&nbsp; You will have to refrigerate if marinating for longer than an hour.

Preparation for chicken tikka

Prepare a baking tray with a foil lined over it. Then place a rack over it.&nbsp;

Cube the veggies and add it to the marinade. Smear the marinade over it. Put them on to skewers, alternating veggies and chicken. Place these over the prepared tray.

Preheat the oven to 240 C for at least 15 minutes.&nbsp; Grill chicken tikka for 20 to 30 mins or till fully done. I suggest checking after 20 mins. This depends on the size of your chicken pieces and how tender it is.

The last 3 to 4 mins, move the chicken to the top rack. Serve chicken tikka with some veggies as a appetizer.

Add the ingredients for the first marinade in a bowl and mix well.

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 3-4 hours or overnight.

Add the ingredients for the second marinade in the bowl and mix well.

Keep the marinated chicken aside for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Thread the marinated chicken in the skewers along with onion and capsicum.

Line the skewers on a foil lined baking tray.

Grill for 10-12 minutes and then rotate the skewers.

Grill for another 10-12 minutes.

Increase the oven temperature to 420 Degrees F and broil the skewers for 3-4 minutes until they are slightly charred.

Remove the tikka from the oven.

If you want the smoky flavour, heat the coal over direct heat until red hot.

Keep the tikka in a shallow bowl.

Keep a piece of aluminium foil over the tikka and keep the hot coal over the foil.

Drizzle ghee over the coal and cover the lid of the bowl immediately.

Let the tikka absorb the smoke for 10-15 minutes.

Remove the lid and discard the coal piece and foil. Serve the tikka hot.

lbs Chicken, Boneless Breast Meat

tbsp Fenugreek, Dry Leaves of Methi

tbsp Garlic

Wash chicken and pat it dry with a paper towel. Cut it in 3" to 4" pieces.  For best results, make sure that chicken is fully dry (no water dripping). Take all of the above mentioned ingredients (except chicken) in a bowl and mix well. 

Add chicken pieces and make sure to coat marinade to all sides. Transfer all contents to zip lock bag, close the bag and refrigerate for 3-4 hour (preferably overnight). So that chicken absorbs flavor from marinade.

Chicken Tikka Kebab is a delicious appetizer that is packed with flavor. It starts with chicken pieces marinated in yogurt along with lime juice and aromatic spices, then threaded onto skewers and cooked to create a delicious appetizer. Make it in the air fryer or oven to serve at the gathering, or include it into your meal prep for the week! 

Chicken Tikka Kebab

lb Chicken thighs (boneless skinless, cut into 1.5-2 inch cubes)

Red Onion (cut into 2 inch cubes, layers separated)

Green Bell Pepper (cut into 2 inch cubes)

Red Bell Pepper (cut into 2 inch cubes)

Lime wedges (to garnish)

Onion rounds (to garnish)

Yogurt (greek (also called hung curd))

tbsp Ginger (grated)

tbsp Garlic (minced)

Lime juice

tsp Kashmiri red chili powder (mild, adjust to taste)

tsp Ground Turmeric (Haldi powder)

Coriander powder (Dhaniya powder)

Combine all ingredients for the marinade in a bowl and mix well. Add chicken and coat on each side with the marinade. Let it rest for anywhere between 30 minutes to 8 hours in the refrigerator.

When ready to cook, add the oil, onions, green and red bell pepper to the marinade. Mix well. 

Thread the marinated chicken, peppers and onions in the skewers altenating between each.

Brush the CrispLid fryer basket with oil. Lightly brush the skewers on all sides with oil and place in the basket. Do not overcrowd, work in batches as needed. 

Set CrispLid trivet in inner steel pot of pressure cooker and set fryer basket on top of trivet. Set CrispLid on top of inner steel pot and plug in. Set to 400°F and cook for 8 minutes. Flip and cook until lightly charred about 7 minutes more.

Serve warm with lime wedges and onion rounds, along with mint cilantro chutney to dip. 

Pressure Cooker CrispLid Method:

Lightly grease the air fryer basket.

Arrange the chicken sticks in airfryer Cook at 180 degrees or 360F for 10 minutes.

Turn the chicken sticks and cook for 7 more minutes, then serve.

AirFryer Method:

Prepare a baking tray lined with parchment paper or foil.

Place a rack over top.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Place the skewers on the rack, then bake for 15-20 minutes until chicken is well cooked.

Turn on your oven&#x27;s broiler and broil the Tikka Kebabs for about 5 minutes to get the char marks.

Oven Method:

This is a spicy tasty chicken tikka recipe in Air fryer. This marinated chicken in air fryer with a spiced yogurt marinade is finger licking delicious.

The Best Chicken Tikka Recipe

Chicken breast (boneless or 500 gm.)

The key in making good chicken tikka is in its marination.

Take all the ingredients of the marinade and mix to form a thick paste.

Evenly coat chicken pieces with this marinade and keep for 4-6 hours or overnight for the flavours to get absorbed.

Pre heat your airfryer at 160 C or 320 F for 5 minutes.

Take skewers and put the chicken tikka pieces in. Baste with some butter/oil and Air fry at 160 C or 320 F for about 8 minutes. Next raise the temperature to 200 C or 390 F and air fry for about 6 minutes to get a lovely charred look.

For Air Fryer

Preheat oven at 240 C or 460 F for 10 minutes. Line a baking tray with foil and arrange a grill tray on it. Line your tikka on skewers and bake for about 25-30 minutes till it is well cooked. You can do the same in a conventional grill.

Serve hot with lemon slices, slices of onion and chaat masala. Enjoy
