The Best Coleslaw Recipe

green cabbage (finely shredded)

purple cabbage (finely shredded)

carrot (finely shredded)

mayonnaise/dressing

white vinegar

cider vinegar

sugar

celery seeds

salt & pepper

Combine all dressing ingredients in a bowl.

Toss with cabbage &amp; carrots. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to blend.

celery seed

black pepper

cabbage

carrots

celery hearts

parsley, optional

Grate onion with a box grater. Scrape grated onion into a large bowl.

Add greek yogurt and mayonnaise and whisk to combine. Add vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt, celery seed and pepper and whisk to combine.

Add cabbage, carrots, celery hearts and parsley (if using) and toss to coat.

This is a great recipe. I used different vinegars and didn’t add celery seeds because I didn’t have any. I also used shallots instead of onion. It turned out really well. 

Delicious!, I used 1 tsp sugar and 5 drops liquid stevia. Yum!!

Healthy Coleslaw

Creamy Coleslaw   

(60 ml) finely chopped onion (in a food processor)

(125 ml) relish

(180 ml) mayonnaise

(60 ml) milk

(30 ml) white vinegar

(30 ml) sugar

Salt and pepper

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. Season with salt and pepper. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving to allow all the flavours to blend.   

I use to buy coleslaw all the time, now I only buy the ingredients to do this one. So much better then any store bought slaw that i've ever had.

My favorite creamy coleslaw stays crunchy, not soupy, and gets a bit of bite in this slightly sweetened, vinegar spiked mayonnaise dressing.

How to Make THE BEST Creamy Coleslaw

coleslaw mix

celery salt

onions

parsley leaves (chopped)

Pour the coleslaw mix into a strainer and place in the sink. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of the sugar and 1/4 cup of the kosher salt and lightly toss. Let sit for 5 minutes to draw out the moisture from the cabbage and then rinse well with cold water. Spin the coleslaw mix in a salad spinner and place in a large bowl.*

For the dressing, in a medium bowl mix the mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons sugar, cinder vinegar, celery salt, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, chopped onions and chopped parsley. Whisk well and pour 2/3 of the dressing over the cabbage mixture, and toss to combine. Add more of the dressing as desired and season with more salt, pepper or parsley to taste.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes up to overnight and serve.

Enjoy this creamy sriracha coleslaw year round. Sweet, spicy, and super creamy.

Creamy Sriracha Coleslaw

real mayo

tbsp mustard

shallot

bag of coleslaw

tbsp vinegar

tbsp sriracha

salt and pepper

In a large bowl, combine the mayo, sugar, sriracha, vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper.

Stir in the coleslaw and finely diced shallots.

Check for seasoning.

Refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours and enjoy.

Easy Creamy Coleslaw

pre-shredded cabbage mix ((Coleslaw blend))

red onions

Miracle Whip or mayonnaise

apple cider vinegar

Add the cabbage mix and red onions to a large mixing bowl.

In a small bowl, stir together the Miracle Whip, sugar, and apple cider vinegar.  Pour over the cabbage mixture and toss to combine.

Can be served immediately or refrigerated for 2-3 hours to blend flavors.  Refrigerate leftovers for up to 4-5 days.

So glad I found this recipe! Only 5 ingredients for this refreshing side. I made it to put into my pulled pork sandwiches but found myself loading my plate with this coleslaw as a side too.  I'm not one for mayo so I didn't add quite 1/3 cup (which isn't a lot anyway) and added a bit more vinegar to taste.  I'm making my second batch in 5 days! Thank you!!

This recipe is quick, easy, good, and I usually have all the ingredients on hand. Serving this with bbq pulled pork sandwiches tonight and some  quick pickled red onions.  This has been my go to recipe for coleslaw.

Perfect blend of tangy/sweet for pulled pork sandwiches. I used the avocado oil mayo also.

I also added Keen's mustard powder to spice it up. The apple cider vinegar is essential!!!!

Came back to this recipe to make it for the 2nd time. It’s so good! Very light yet also very flavorful!

This is a great coleslaw. I shredded my own veggies and use half sugar half honey. I also threw in a little crushed pineapple.

These were great for our pulled pork sandwiches. Added bonus that ingredients are ones that I had one hand. Only change I made was the honey I had was a serrano infused honey. Loved the little bit of heat the honey added to the slaw. Will be making again.

Love it! I cut the black pepper in half, but that’s just preference. I usually prefer vinegar based slaw because I don’t like mayo, but I made my own avocado oil mayo and used it in this recipe and it’s excellent! Will go great with shredded bbq chicken!

I just made this.YUM! I had small head of cabbage which ended up being 22 oz shredded so I slightly increased the other ingredients. Turned out fine using fresh orange juice instead of lemon juice. Keeping this recipe!
