This Cheese Log Is The Perfect Holiday Appetizer

Light and airy, whipped ricotta dip is so easy to make in just 5 minutes with a few fresh ingredients including fresh herbs, olive oil, garlic, and honey. 

Whipped Ricotta Dip

cup whole milk ricotta

honey

+ 1/2 tablespoons fresh herbs (such

garlic, minced

teaspoon ground black pepper

In a medium bowl, add ricotta, olive oil, honey, fresh herbs, garlic, salt and pepper. Beat with a hand mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about a minute. You can also blend everything together in a food processor. Give it a taste and add extra olive oil, honey, or salt and pepper, if needed.

Transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle some olive oil on top, and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve with slices of toasted french baguette, crackers, or vegetables.

Fried Pickle Dip 

cream cheese (1.5 packages), room temperature

sour cream

mayo

cheddar cheese, shredded

red pepper flakes

dill

dill relish or 1 cup chopped pickles

Chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and grease a round 8 inch baking dish.

In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, cheese, garlic powder, red pepper, and dill. Stir until fully incorporated.

Add the full jar of relish or chopped pickles to the mixture and stir until evenly combined.

Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with panko.

Baking for 30 minutes or until fully melted and browning on top.

Serve warm with your favorite chips or pretzels!

Oil-Free Ancho Chile Pumpkin Hummus Dip Recipe and a Pumpkin Pie Dip

To all the avocado lovers out there, this easy no-fuss guacamole is the perfect dip to make your appetizers excell!

Easy Guacamole

avocados

of ½ small lime (or to taste)

olive oil (5 ml)

¼ red or white or yellow onion (diced)

garlic (minced)

¼ teaspoon of ground cumin

cilantro

½ of a roma tomato (diced)

Salt and pepper (to taste)

Cut the avocados in half, peel, and roughly chop into a medium-sized bowl.

Squeeze the lime juice and then add oil.

Using a fork, mash the avocados until you reach your desired consistency. Mix in the onion, garlic, cumin, cilantro, tomato, and season with salt and pepper, to taste.

EASY GUACAMOLE

Pistachio Pineapple Dip 

8z cream cheese (1 package), room temperature

pineapple

vanilla Greek yogurt

pistachio pudding

coconut

In a large bowl combine the softened cream cheese, pineapple with juices, yogurt, pudding mix, and coconut. Mix fully smooth and fully combined.

Transfer to serving dish and sprinkle with additional shredded coconut.

Serve with fruit, wafers, or graham crackers.

Unconventional? Maybe. Delicious? Definitely.

Raspberry Dip

sharp cheddar cheese, grated

mayonnaise

pecans

green onions, chopped

raspberry preserves

In a medium bowl, stir together the cheese, mayo, pecans, and green onion. Spread mixture in a 9x9-inch baking pan or 9-inch pie pan.

Spread raspberry preserves over the top in an even layer. Chill in refrigerator at least 1 hour before serving.

Baked Hawaiian Pizza Dip 

(14 oz) jar pizza sauce

(8 oz) package cream cheese, room temperature

mozzarella cheese, divided

parmesan, divided

pineapple tidbits, drained

¼ cup sliced red onion

jalapeno

Italian seasoning

red pepper flakes, basil, additional pineapple

Bread or pita chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, then add pizza sauce, 2 cups of mozzarella, ¼ cup parmesan, red onions, jalapeño, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix until fully combined

Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella and parmesan. Arrange pineapple and ham over the top and sprinkle with more Italian seasoning if desired.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until bubbling and golden.

Creamy, cheesy and garlicky, this baked shrimp dip tastes like a dip-able version of shrimp scampi!

Cheesy Baked Shrimp Dip

olive oil

lbs. large peeled and deveined shrimp (cut into small bite-sized pieces)

tsp kosher salt

tsp black pepper

tsp red pepper flakes

dry white wine

oz cream cheese (softened)

mozzarella cheese

Parmesan

lemons

Tbsp fresh parsley (minced)

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Butter an 8x8&quot; baking dish (or spray lightly with cooking spray) and set aside.

Prepare

Add olive oil to large skillet and heat over MED heat.  Add shrimp, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. 

Cook shrimp, stirring often, 3 minutes, until shrimp is almost cooked.&nbsp; Add wine and stir it around, letting it cook off, for 1 minute, or until wine is mostly gone.

Cook shrimp

Add cream cheese, mayonnaise, mozzarella, Parmesan, lemon zest and juice, and parsley to a large mixing bowl.  Stir well to combine.  Add the cooked shrimp and if desired, season with a pinch of additional salt and pepper.

Make dip

Transfer dip to prepared baking dish and bake in preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, until hot and bubbly.  

Bake

Serve hot, with desired dippers (crackers, slices of toasted bread, veggies, etc).

Strawberry Cheesecake Dip

oz cream cheese (2 packages), softened

sugar

vanilla extract

heavy cream

strawberry jam

Add the heavy cream to a small bowl and beat on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form.

In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Once combined, fold in the whipped heavy cream.

Transfer mixture to serving dish. Stir jam and then spoon evenly onto the cream cheese mixture. Run a knife through the top of the dip to create a marbled effect.

Chill for a minimum of 15 minutes. Serve with Nilla wafers, graham crackers, or pretzels.

Add all ingredients to a medium-sized bowl and mix until well combined. Transfer to serving dish if desired.

Cover and chill for 1-2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Boat Dip (rotel ranch dip)

oz packet ranch seasoning mix ((click for a homemade version))

fire-roasted corn (drained)

rotel (drained)

diced green chiles (drained)

oz shredded cheddar cheese

Add softened cream cheese to a large mixing bowl and beat with a hand mixer (or a whisk or rubber spatula) until creamy and smooth.

Whip cream cheese

To the mixing bowl, add sour cream, ranch seasoning, corn, rotel, green chiles, and cheese. Stir to combine well.

Combine

Cover mixing bowl tightly and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours.

Cover and chill

Serve chilled, with tortilla or pita chips as dippers.

This was so easy to make in such a delicious hit. I always make this for the boat when I have a group of people on the boat and they all love it!

Everyone loved it and asked for the recipe. I did add 2 tbs of taco seasoning.

It was good. However, I didn’t have any green chilies and the Rotel was mild so it was a little bland. Plus, we ate some as soon as it was made without first chilling it. I will make it again with the green chilies next time. It really needs that little extra kick to it. I was wondering if I can freeze some of it since it makes some much.

I have already made this 3 times, and am making it again this weekend.  It is SOOOOOOOOOOO good and addicting.  I think this time I might add the suggested ground sausage add on this time.  Thanks so much!
