(30 milliliters) regular soy sauce

(215 grams) medium onion (, sliced)

(16 grams) garlic cloves (, minced)

½ teaspoon (0.7 grams) dried thyme

½ cup (125 milliliters) heavy cream

Tenderize Pork Chops: Use back-end of a heavy knife or meat tenderizer to pound both sides of pork chops (make criss-cross patterns as shown in photo). Pat dry pork chops with paper towels. Season one side of pork chops with salt &amp; black pepper just before you place them in Instant Pot.

Brown Pork Chops in Instant Pot: Press &quot;Saute&quot; button to heat up your Instant Pot using &quot;Sauté Normal&quot; function. Wait until it says &quot;HOT&quot; (~8 mins). *Pro Tip: Ensure Instant Pot is as hot as it can be in order to induce a Maillard reaction. Add 2 tbsp unsalted butter (28g) in Instant Pot. Ensure the whole bottom is coated with butter. Place 2 pork chops in Instant Pot with seasoned side facing down. Brown for roughly 2 minutes per side. Lightly season the other side with salt &amp; black pepper. Set aside the browned pork chops, then repeat browning step for the other 2 pork chops.

Optional Flavor-Enhancing Step - Saute Mushrooms: Add in sliced mushrooms, saute until all mushrooms’ moisture have evaporated (~8 mins). *Pro Tip: The mushrooms’ edges should be slightly crisped &amp; browned.

Saute Garlic and Onion: Add in one more tablespoon of unsalted butter if necessary. Add in sliced onions, minced garlic, ½ tsp (0.7g) dried thyme, and ½ tsp (0.9g) dried rosemary. If you’ve skipped the optional mushroom step, add the mushrooms here. Saute for another 2 minutes.

Deglaze: Pour in ¾ cup (188ml) unsalted chicken stock, then deglaze by scrubbing all the flavorful brown bits off the bottom with a wooden spoon. Give it a quick mix.

Pressure Cook Pork Chops: Add in 1 tbsp (15ml) regular soy sauce. Give it a quick mix. *Note: We&#x27;re adding the second tablespoon of soy sauce after pressure cooking. Place the 4 browned pork chops and meat juice back in Instant Pot. *Pro Tip: Make sure the pork chops are partially soaked in the cooking liquid. Close lid, then turn Venting Knob to Sealing position. Pressure Cook at High Pressure for 0 (zero) minute + 8 minutes Natural Release. *Pro Tip: Yes, you can set the Instant Pot to &quot;0 (zero)&quot; minute with the + and - buttons. It will start natural releasing as soon as it reaches high pressure. Carefully open the lid.

Make Mushroom Sauce: While the Instant Pot is natural releasing, mix exactly 2 tbsp (20g) all-purpose flour with ½ cup (125ml) heavy cream. Set aside pork chops. Bring the content to a simmering with &quot;Saute&quot; function. Mix heavy cream mixture into the mushroom sauce in Instant Pot one third at a time until desired thickness.

Season &amp; Serve: Taste and season the mushroom sauce with 1 tbsp (15ml) regular soy sauce. *Note: Use less or more soy sauce accordingly. Place pork chops in Instant Pot. Then you&#039;re ready to serve these deliciously juicy tender Pork Chops. Enjoy~

Instant Pot Pork Chops (Secrets to Juicy Tender Pork Chops!) [Amy + Jacky]

Classic Southern Fried Pork Chops

pork chops

Dijon mustard

granulated garlic

onion

tsp kosher salt

tsp black pepper

tsp cayenne pepper (plus more to taste)

bacon strips

all-purpose flour

In a small bowl, combine granulated garlic, onion, salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper.

Pat dry pork chops with a paper towel. Using your hands, rub Dijon mustard all over the pork chops.

Sprinkle the spice mix and evenly rub into the chops on each side.&nbsp;

Dredge in flour really well on both sides and set aside.

Preheat a large, about 12-13-inch, heavy (cast iron is recommended) frying pan over medium-high heat.

Fry the bacon strips, on both sides, until crisp and fat has rendered out. Remove the bacon and reserve for other uses.

Add vegetable oil to the frying pan. Let the oil warm up to cooking temperature, about 325F.

Dredge each pork chop in flour again, making sure each side is covered really well. Place in the frying pan and cook over medium heat about 4-5 minutes per side, until deep golden brown and the internal temperature of the pork reached 145F. Cooking time will depend on the thickness of the pork chops you are using.

Remove pork chops, place on a platter and cover with foil and let rest for 3 minutes before serving.

Medium thickness pork chops (bone-in)

Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides

Select the sauté setting of the Instant Pot, add in the oil and when hot brown the pork chops on both sides (about 45 secs on either side).

Remove the pork chops from the Instant Pot, and set aside on a plate.

Add the liquid into the Instant Pot, and scrape any bits stuck to the bottom of the pot from frying with a silicon or wooden spoon.

Place the trivet inside before adding the pork chops on top of the trivet.

Then add your favourite sauce to the top of your pork chops

Cover your Instant Pot, set the vent to 'SEALING', select the manual or pressure cook button (dependent upon IP model), select high pressure and set the timer&nbsp;to&nbsp;5 mins.

Cook till done then let the steam release naturally 10 mins before QPR (if necessary) and opening.

Remember to always check the internal temperature of your meat using a Meat thermometer before eating.

Korean Pork Chops

In a medium size bowl combine the soy sauce, honey, garlic, sesame oil, ginger, and Sriracha sauce. Place the pork chops in a shallow dish or container and pour the marinade over the pork chops.  Turn to coat well and marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours, and up to overnight.

Heat the olive oil in a large, heavy skillet (such as cast iron) over medium-high heat. Remove the pork chops from the marinade, reserving the marinade, and place them in the pan.  Cook for about 5 minutes until the bottom is browned with a nice crust, then turn the pork chops and cook for another 5 minutes, until the bottom is also nicely browned, but the chops are still a bit pink inside.  Pour the remaining marinade into the pan and bring to a simmer, cooking until the chops are just cooked, with an internal temperature of 145°F.

Serve the pork chops, whole or sliced, with the rice or mashed potatoes, spooning over a bit of the sauce from the pan.

Preheat the air fryer to 180C / 350F.

Wash and cut slices into the side of each pork chop with the fat and silver skin along the edge. This stops the pork chops from curling.

Make cuts every 1 1/2 to 2 inches along that edge. The cuts should be no more than 1/2 an inch deep.

Dry pork chops with paper towels and sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper.

In a large skillet, with a lid, heat oil until it shimmers or a drop of water flicked in it dances.

Sprinkle the first side of each pork chop with salt, pepper and a then 1/4 teaspoon of sugar.

Press into pork chop.

Next, gently place pork chop in skillet, sugar side down.

Repeat with remaining pork chops.

Sprinkle salt and pepper on the tops of all the pork chops once in the skillet.
