Remove the peels from the bananas and slice them 1/2" inch thick.

Set a nonstick skillet over medium to medium high heat** and add the oil or butter, honey, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.

Add the banana slices, and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden and caramelized. Be sure to watch the heat and turn it down if it browns too quickly. You want enough heat to caramelize and brown the slices, but you don’t want them to burn.

Once the bananas are cooked you can enjoy them as is, or with marshmallow creme and peanut butter in a sandwich, with Bananas Foster French Toast, in oatmeal or yogurt, over ice cream, and more. Enjoy!

Pan Fried Cinnamon Bananas

bananas (Slightly Overripe)

sugar ((you can substitute granulated Splenda, if you like))

cinnamon

nutmeg ((optional))

Slice the bananas into rounds, approximately 1/3 inch thick.

In a small bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg (if desired). Set aside.

Lightly spray a large skillet with nonstick oil spray. Warm over medium heat.

Add the banana rounds and sprinkle 1/2 of the cinnamon mixture on top.&nbsp;

Cook for about 2-3 minutes.

Flip the rounds, sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon mixture

Cook for 2-3 more minutes until the bananas are soft and warmed through.

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, water, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.

Melt butter in a small pan over medium-high heat. Place banana slices in the pan in a single layer; cook for 1-2 minutes per side, undisturbed, until a golden crust forms (keep an eye on them and adjust the heat if they brown too quickly.)

Remove pan from heat and pour honey mixture over the banana slices. Allow to cool slightly.

Fried Banana Recipe

bananas ((or 2 large) ripe but firm)

sugar

butter (or coconut oil)

rum ((optional))

Toasted coconut flakes ((optional))

Start by peeling firm ripe bananas and cut them into about ½-inch thick slices or desired shapes.

Heat up the skillet over medium heat. Add butter, sugar, and cinnamon, and let the butter melt.

As soon as the butter melts, add bananas in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown. Then flip and cook for about another minute.

Remove the pan from the heat before adding the rum. Be careful because it might flare.

Put the pan back on the heat and cook for another minute.

Remove from heat and serve immediately with caramel sauce, ice cream, and/or coconut flakes.
