Fried Ravioli is cheese ravioli fried in an air fryer or in oil and topped with parmesan cheese and parsley, dipped in a side of marinara sauce.

Fried Ravioli

(1 bag) cheese ravioli, (frozen)

all-purpose flour

milk, (room temperature)

eggs, (room temperature)

bread crumbs

parmesan cheese, (grated, plus extra for serving (optional))

garlic powder

salt

pepper

vegetable oil, (for frying)

parsley, (optional, for garnish)

marinara sauce, (optional, for dipping)

Set out three bowls. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Set out three wide and deep plates or bowls. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Pour flour in first plate.

Whisk in eggs and milk on second plate.

Whisk the eggs and milk on a second plate.

Combine breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper on third plate.

On a third plate, combine bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Coat ravioli in all three plates and set on lined baking sheet.

Coat ravioli with the flour, followed by the egg, and finally, the bread crumb mixture. Set the coated ravioli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat with the rest of the ravioli. Then, cook them in the air fryer or fry the ravioli in oil.

For air fryer, spray each breaded ravioli with cooking spray.

Spray breaded ravioli on both sides with cooking spray.

Place ravioli in single layer in basket of air fryer.

Fry at 350°F for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.

To fry in oil, freeze the breaded ravioli.

Place the pan of breaded ravioli in the freezer for 30 minutes.

Heat 2 inches of oil to 350°F.

When ready, in a large, heavy-bottom pot, heat 2 inches of oil to 350°F.

Fry ravioli for 2-3 minutes.

Working in batches of 3-4, fry the ravioli in the oil for 2-3 minutes. (Please note: You may have to let the oil heat up to 350°F again after each batch of fried ravioli.)

Remove fried ravioli and set on paper towel-lined plate.

Using a slotted spoon, remove ravioli from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to dry.

Top with parmesan cheese and parsley. Serve with a side of dipping sauce.

Heat oil in large deep skillet or a commercial deep fryer to 350°F.

Combine Panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning in a shallow dish and mix thoroughly.

In a small bowl beat egg and water. Add Ravioli pasta to a shallow dish and pour egg over, tossing to coat.

Dredge each ravioli in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere. Place on wire rack over baking sheet until all are coated.

Check oil temperature, be sure it's 350°F and fry ravioli until golden brown and crispy. 2 minutes, turning for even cooking. Remove from hot oil and place on wire rack over baking sheet until slightly cooled.

Serve with marinara sauce and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.

Crispy Air Fryer Ravioli

oz frozen three cheese mini ravioli bag

Cooking spray

Marinara sauce (to serve)

In a medium bowl, combine eggs and water and whisk with a fork for a minute and set aside.

In a separate bowl; combine panko bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix it well and set it aside.

Take the frozen ravioli out from the bag and dip them in the egg mixture first and then coat them with the panko mixture until evenly coated. Repeat the same with the remaining ravioli.

Meanwhile, preheat the air fryer for 390 °F (199 °C) for 5 minutes. Grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray.

Place the breaded ravioli in the air fryer basket without overcrowding it. Spray the cooking spray on the top of the ravioli.

Air fry the ravioli for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crispy on the outside.

Once done, garnish the ravioli with grated parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Serve the crispy ravioli with the marinara sauce on the side.

If the ravioli are not frozen, freeze for 1 hour before preparing recipe.

Combine milk and eggs in a small bowl and whisk until smooth. Place breadcrumbs, salt and parmesan cheese in a large ziplock bag and shake to combine.

Dip frozen raviolis in egg mixture, then add to bag with breadcrumbs. Shake to coat.

In a heavy pot pour oil to a depth of about 2 inches. Heat over medium heat until oil is hot. Test it by adding a small sprinkle of bread crumbs to the oil and if they sizzle and turn golden, its ready.

Fry raviolis, only a few at a time, for about 1 minute on each side, until golden. Remove to a paper towel lined plate. Sprinkle with fresh grated parmesan cheese and serve warm, dipped in marinara sauce.

Fried Ravioli With Spicy Roasted Tomato Dipping Sauce

Roma tomatoes (quartered (1 pound))

Onion (chopped)

Garlic cloves

Tablespoons Olive oil

Sugar

Kosher salt

Red Pepper Flakes

Tablespoons Fresh Basil (chopped)

Panko crumbs (fine texture)

Paprika

Eggs

Milk

Frozen ravioli *

All-purpose flour

Peanut oil **

Shredded Parmesan (optional)

Italian parsley (optional)

Preheat oven to 450℉.

Toss the sauce ingredients together in a casserole dish.

Roast 35-40 minutes, or until tomatoes are soft. Mash with a potato masher or fork, keeping tomatoes a bit chunky.

Stir in the basil. The sauce can be made ahead.

Dipping Sauce

Place the flour in a resealable plastic bag. Combine the Panko crumbs, Parmesan, and paprika in another resealable plastic bag or a shallow pan.

Beat the eggs and milk together in a bowl.

Dredge the ravioli first in flour, dip in egg wash, then coat in the Panko crumb mixture.

Chill on a rack for 15 minutes to set the crumbs.

Heat the peanut oil to 360℉ in a high-sided pot.

Fry the ravioli in batches until crisp and golden, 2-3 minutes. Do not crowd the pot. Drain on paper towels.

Serve with sauce; garnish with cheese and parsley. An Italian tossed salad is excellent to serve along with the toasted ravioli.

These delectable St. Louis style Toasted Ravioli are sure to be a hit at your next celebration.  They are seasoned breaded beef ravioli that are deep fried and served with warm marinara and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

Mix the eggs and the buttermilk in a small bowl. Combine the breadcrumbs and the garlic on a shallow bowl or plate. Put the flour on a shallow plate or bowl. Arrange them in a line starting with the egg mixture, flour, breadcrumbs and then empty plate.

Dip the frozen ravioli in the egg mixture, then in the flour, back in the egg mixture and then in the breadcrumbs. Place on empty plate. Repeat with the remaining ravioli.

Heat the canola oil to 375 degrees. Cook the raviolis about five at a time for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Turn halfway through.

Remove and place on paper towels.

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve with warm marinara.
