Crispy Baked Jalapeño Poppers

Jalapeños

Cream Cheese

Cheddar Cheese, finely grated

Green/Spring Onion, finely diced

tbsp Dry Breadcrumbs (can use Panko!)

Parmesan,

tsp Smoked Paprika

Salt & Black Pepper,

Oil,

Sour Cream, to serve

In a medium sized bowl, combine 4 tbsp breadcrumbs, 2 tbsp parmesan, 1 tsp smoked paprika and a pinch of salt &amp; pepper (to taste). Place to one side.

Next, fry 5oz/150g diced bacon in a pan over medium heat (use oil as needed) until nice and crispy. When cool enough to handle, combine in a separate bowl with 9oz/250g cream cheese, diced green/spring onion and 1cup/100g grated cheddar cheese. Place to one side.

Grab your jalapeños and slice them vertically, forming two boat-like shapes. Deseed with a teaspoon and begin filling with your cream cheese mixture. You want them filled to just above level height, around 1 tbsp per &#x27;boat&#x27; should be fine, depending on jalapeño size. Use gloves if concerned about spreading spice.

Flip each boat upside down in to your breadcrumb mixture and gently press so the crumbs attach, forming the crispy layer.

Evenly space out on a baking tray and bake for around 8-10 mins at 200C/390F just to heat through the centre, just until they start to bubble. Then switch to the grill and broil for around 5 mins or until golden and crispy on top (see notes). Allow to cool for a few minutes and tuck in!

CRISPY BAKED JALAPENO POPPERS | Makes 20

🍴INGREDIENTS🍴

10 Jalapeños
8oz / 250g Cream Cheese
5.2oz / 150g Streaky Bacon, finely diced
1 cup / 100g Cheddar Cheese, finely grated
1 Green Onion finely diced
4 tbsp Breadcrumbs
2 tbsp Parmesan finely grated
1 tsp Smoked Paprika
Salt & Black Pepper to taste

I have made these several times.  The first couple in a round cake pan (couldn’t find my Springform pan after moving!).  Now I just lay them separately on a cookie sheet lined with a Silpat sheet.  Bake 15-20 min.  The dough is nice and browned all around with crunchy texture.  These are good however you make them!

I made this and followed the instructions exactly. Barely halfway through the cook time they where completely burnt. I would not recommend.

Just made these yesterday for an informal gathering and they were great, although I did modify the time/temp like others suggested. I also wrapped the dogs with american cheese. Will make again.

I made these for a large family gathering at Christmas.  I followed the recipe to a T and even used one writer's suggestion to put a cookie sheet under to catch the drippings.  It was a disaster!  Even with the cookie sheet (and a piece of foil placed directly under the springform pan, there was so much smoke in my house I had to resort to turning on box fans and opening the doors.  The italian pizza dough did not cook through in all places and for the most part looked grayish and not browned.  NOT very appetizing to look at.  I definitely will NOT make pigs in blanket this way again.  What a mess.  Back to the old fashioned was with crescent rolls for me.  I have trouble even giving this recipe one star but I will because the seasoning was tasty, and it looks very nice in the pan UNTIL it starts smoking.  Waste of time and money.

The 50 minute timer was TOO long to bake these - mine were burnt - will make again but not bake quite so long!!

I made this for Super Bowl and everyone loved it!  Such a novel idea!
It made me look like I really knew what I was doing! Lol!

We made these!  But the temp and time is way too high!! I would bake at 375 degrees for 35-45 min and check them at 35 min !

Creamy egg yolk filled deviled eggs topped with crumbled bacon are decorated with mayonnaise laces to look like footballs. They make a fun game day snack.&nbsp;

Deviled Egg Footballs

eggs

Miracle Whip

yellow mustard

sweet pickle juice

table salt

bacon, (finely chopped)

Cut hard boiled eggs in half lengthwise.

Remove the yolks and crumble them in a bowl.&nbsp;

Add 1/3 cup Miracle Whip or mayonnaise, mustard, pickle juice, and salt and stir until smooth and creamy.

Equally divide the filling among the 12 egg halves, spreading the filing in an even layer over top of the egg, leaving about an 1/8th of an inch border around the outer edge of the egg.&nbsp;

Sprinkle bacon over top and use your fingers to press the bacon into a football shape.&nbsp;

Spoon the remaining 1 tablespoon of Miracle Whip or mayo into a small zip top bag. Snip off the tip leaving a small opening.&nbsp;

Pipe a straight line of mayo down the center, going lengthwise, of each egg.&nbsp;

Add 3-4 short lines of mayo going across the long line to create the football laces.&nbsp;

Serve and enjoy!&nbsp;

This easy Banana Custard recipe is super quick to make and is seriously SO GOOD. A foolproof banana custard recipe that is delicious served on its own, or used as a pie, tart, cake, and pastry filling.

Easy Banana Custard (Pastry Cream Filling)

egg yolks (, whisked together)

milk

sugar (, divided (add more/less to yoursweetness preference))

vanilla extract

cornstarch

oz unsalted butter (, softened)

banana (, mashed)

bananas (, to serve (optional))

In a large saucepan, add milk and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low to simmer and add in half the sugar.

In a medium bowl, add the remaining sugar and cornstarch. Whisk in the egg yolks until combined. (Only start mixing these when the milk starts to boil).

Slowly pour the mixture in the bowl into the saucepan and reduce the heat to low. Use a spoon or whisk to keep stirring until the custard thickens (around 3-5 minutes).

Take a thermometer and make sure it reaches 185F so it can set properly once cooled. Once it reaches this temperature, turn off the heat.

Add butter, vanilla extract, and mashed banana. Stir until well-combined and remove the custard from heat. Feel free to use a strainer to ensure a smooth custard texture (recommended, but not required).

Transfer the custard to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until set.

When ready to serve, you can fold in extra chopped/sliced bananas and serve the banana custard cool or at room temperature. ENJOY!

Preheat oven to 425 F degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, this will save you from scrubbing the baking pan until tomorrow.

Season the wings generously with salt, pepper and the 1/2 tsp of garlic powder. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking pan. Bake for about 40 to 45 minutes or until they're golden crisp.

While wings are baking, mix all the Parmesan mixture ingredients together in a small bowl.

When the wings are done baking, transfer them to a bowl right away. Dump the Parmesan mixture over the wings and toss well, making sure each wing is fully covered with the Parmesan mixture. Serve right away.

Spray a large skillet with cooking spray or brush with melted butter. Take a small bowl that's about 5 inches in diameter across the top and place it top side down, in the center of the skillet. Spray this bowl with cooking spray as well. Take the bread rolls and arrange around the outside of the skillet. You might have to push them together to fit them all. Brush with melted butter then cover with plastic wrap and let the bread rolls rise until doubled in size in a warm spot, about half hour to an hour.

In the mean time, in another skillet add the spinach, artichokes, sour cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese and cook until the cheese melts and everything is well combined, should take about 3 to 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper as needed

Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.

Remove the bowl from the center of the skillet and pour the dip into the center. Sprinkle the top of the dip and bread rolls with chili flakes and additional Parmesan cheese, if preferred.

Place the skillet in the oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the dip is bubbly.

taco seasoning

mini flour tortillas

oil spray

avocado, salsa, hot sauce, cilantro, lime wedges (optional for serving)

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Add the beans, taco seasoning and a couple tablespoons of water to a bowl - the water will help loosen up the beans. Mix until combined.

Spread a couple tablespoons of beans on one half of a tortilla. Fold the tortilla in half to close it up - the beans will keep it closed while cooking. Place on the baking sheet and repeat with the remaining ingredients.

Spray with oil and place in the oven for 8 minutes. Flip and cook for another 8-10 minutes, or until the tacos are crispy. Remove from the oven and serve with the optional toppings.

Mini Refried Bean Tacos | This Savory Vegan

These Vegan Korean Beef Egg Rolls are the perfect party appetizer! Baked until crispy and served with sriracha mayo on the side for dipping!

Vegan Korean Beef Egg Rolls

soy sauce

sesame oil

ginger powder

vegan beef crumbles (or sub cooked lentils)

garlic (minced)

green onions (diced)

kimchi

carrots (peeled & cut in 3" strips)

egg roll wrappers (see notes)

olive oil spray

sriracha mayo (for serving, see notes)

sweet chili sauce (for serving)

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray with oil.

Combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil and ginger powder in a bowl. Mix to combine - I placed mine in the microwave for 30 seconds to help the sugar dissolve.

Add the beef crumbles, sauce, garlic &amp; green onions to a bowl and mix to combine.

To assemble, add 2-2.5 tablespoons of the beef mixture to each wrapper. Add a little kimchi and a couple pieces of carrot. Brush the edges of the wrapper with water and roll up (like a burrito). Place on the baking sheet. Spray the rolls with oil and place in the oven for 10 minutes. Flip and cook for another 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven and serve hot with the dipping sauces.

Vegan Korean Beef Egg Rolls | This Savory Vegan

My Stuffed Sweet Peppers are your new go-to for a Healthy Game Day Snack, a quick side, or a satisfying afternoon pick-me-up.

Stuffed Sweet Peppers

Mini Sweet Peppers

Everything seasoning

Wash and dry peppers.

Slice off the stem end and then slice lengthwise.

Remove seeds.

Fill each pepper half with cheese.

Top with everything seasoning.

Refrigerate until time to serve.

Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings are easy, yummy, and can be baked or smoked

Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings

lemon juice (approx 3 lemons)

Tbsps lemon pepper

Tbsps brown sugar

Tbsp crushed red pepper flakes

Place the chicken wings in a gallon size plastic bag.

In a bowl whisk together the lemon juice, lemon pepper seasoning, soy sauce, brown sugar, and crushed red pepper flakes. Pour this mixture over the wings and massage the bag until evenly mixed.

Marinate in the fridge several hours or overnight.

Remove the chicken wings from the bag and discard remaining marinade. Sprinkle with lemon pepper seasoning. Cook according to one of these methods.Smoker: Place the chicken wings in a smoker set to 250 degrees for two and a half hours. Flip them halfway through. Check the internal temp to make sure they are at 170 degrees before serving.Oven: In the oven: Place wings on a lined baking sheet and put in a 400 degree oven for 45 minutes, flip them halfway through.

Seve with a squeeze of lemon over top if desired.
