A super easy side dish featuring fresh, nutrient-packed broccoli drenched in a savory Asian-inspired garlic sauce.

Broccoli with Asian-Style Garlic Sauce

broccoli florets (1 large bunch)

garlic

Tbsp. toasted sesame oil (*oil-free option below)

Tbsp. tamari (or soy sauce)

vegetable broth

cornstarch (or arrowroot

Optional topping: sesame seeds, red pepper flakes

Mince garlic.

In a bowl, add garlic, tamari (or soy sauce), broth, and cornstarch. Whisk to combine.

In a large skillet over med-high, add sesame oil and heat for a minute.

Carefully add broccoli florets. Cook for about 4 minutes, stirring often to prevent burning.

Reduce heat to med-low, then and add garlic sauce. Stir well to coat.

Cook for about 3 minutes, or until broccoli is desired tenderness. (The sauce will thicken and absorb into the broccoli.)

Roasted Lemon Garlic Broccoli is a yummy vegetable side recipe! Flavored with lemon, garlic and butter, it is so yummy, easy to make (&lt;10 minutes of active time), even non-broccoli eaters will love it!

Roasted Lemon Garlic Broccoli

broccoli (12-14 oz)

tbsp lemon juice (~1 lemon)

salted butter

tsp salt

Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F.

Cut broccoli into medium sized-florets (see picture), and bring them into a large bowl. Minced garlic. Squeeze lemon juice from lemon.

Melt butter in microwave. Mix minced garlic into melted butter. Pour mixture into the bowl of broccoli. Toss to coat evenly.

Sprinkle broccoli with salt and lemon juice.

Spread broccoli onto a baking sheet. Do not overlap or overcrowd the baking sheet.

Bake in the oven for 17-20 minutes. Bake for closer to 17 minutes if you like your broccoli crunchier and closer to 20 minutes if you like them softer. Time needed will depend on the size of your broccoli florets as well.

Make the garlic sauce: mince garlic. Then in a small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients. Whisk to combine.

In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add sesame oil* and heat for a minute.

Reduce heat to medium-low. Then add garlic sauce. Stir well to coat broccoli.

Pressure Cooker Broccoli with Garlic

Chinese rice wine ((Optional))

Pressure Cook Broccoli: Pour in ½ cup of cold running tap water. Place a steamer rack into the pressure cooker. Place the broccoli florets onto the steamer rack. Lock the pressure cooker lid and pressure cook at Low Pressure for 0 minutes. Turn off the heat and do a quick release. Open the lid carefully.

Cool Broccoli: To stop the broccoli from cooking, quickly place the broccoli in an ice bath or place them under cold running tap water. Drain the water, set aside the broccoli to air dry.

*Optional Stir-fry Step: If you have a wok and don’t mind washing it, we recommend doing the Sauté Stir-fry the Garlic &amp; Broccoli Step with a wok on the stovetop over HIGH heat. The flavor will increase by threefold (estimated :P).

Prepare Pressure Cooker: Remove the hot water and towel dry the inner pot. Heat up your pressure cooker (Instant Pot: press Sauté button and click the adjust button to go to Sauté More function). Make sure your pot is as hot as it can be when you place the garlic into the pot (Instant Pot users: wait until the indicator says HOT).

Sauté Garlic &amp; Broccoli: Add 1 tablespoon of peanut oil into the pot. Ensure to coat the oil over the whole bottom of the pot. Add in the minced garlic, sauté the garlic for roughly 25 - 30 seconds. Do not let the garlic burn. Pour in the air dried broccoli and (optional) 1 tablespoon of rice wine and stir for 30 seconds. Season with fine sea salt to taste (We added ~ 1/6 teaspoon of salt). Stir it around for another 30 seconds. Done!

Instant Pot Broccoli with Garlic 蒜香西蘭花 | Amy + Jacky

An easy stir fry that can be made ahead of time for your weekly meal prep. Broccoli and beef are cooked in a simple, healthy garlic sauce. This is ready in just minutes!

Garlic Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry Meal Prep

canola oil

lb flank steak

cornstarch

broccoli florets

chicken broth

Salt (to taste)

sriracha (optional)

brown rice

Toss beef in cornstarch until beef is evenly coated.

Add oil and garlic to your wok and bring to medium-high heat. Cook garlic until browned. Add in beef. Stir and cook beef until half cooked.

Add in the broccoli. Stir and cook. When wok becomes dry, add in ¼ cup broth. Add more if needed. To help the broccoli and beef cook faster, you can also briefly cover wok with a lid for a few minutes. Season with salt and sriracha. Once everything is cooked, turn off heat.

Add 1/2 cup of brown rice to each of your meal prep containers. Divide your stir fry into 4 equal portions and add to the containers. Store in the fridge and consume within 4 days.
